The psychology of the designers would be bent towards a design with no deficiencies i.e., we’ve considered all the possibilities and this submersible craft is the result. Not to mention they would be commercially interested in the success of the project that would bias them as well.

For an independent verifier to sign off on the project, the thinking would be more along the lines of “are you nuts!? There are only a few of these submersibles in the world and you want me to put my name to it!?”.

Interesting article about the millionaire who went on this sub a few years ago, something broke as they were putting it in and they fixed it with zip ties.

I'm sure they'd carry zip ties on the space station. They are very handy at fixing things quickly, even if just temporary.

They knew the risks, they accepted them. If there was a chance of saving lives sure, spend the money, but at this point, what does it achieve.

Yeah sadly even if they do locate the sub there's no way they are going to get it to the surface with the remaining oxygen/time left on board.

Coming to the conclusion that these guys were dead on Sunday caused by a catastrophic failure to the infrastructure of the Titan. Everything else has been clutching at straws.

Either that or they got wedged somewhere due to a current and have been stuck. Either way, they are gone, imo.

Still can't "fathom" that they were even allowed to use this craft, with many people now coming out with their stories, why was this company not investigated. It's not like they were running this anonymously.

Pitch black, in a tin can you can't even really stretch out in, and wondering the whole time if you will be rescued (if it didn't implode due to the pressure and catastrophic failure.) No thanks.

tell you what if they do find the sub and retrieve it there will be some pretty raw footage being left by these guys i imagine.
