These guys are anywhere between 3000 and 4000 metres down (unless they’ve magically resurfaced).

Without being morbid or crass they’re done for.

Like even if you can locate the sub the chances of getting it up are slim, without locating it you’ve got absolutely no chance. At this point I’d be shocked if they ever locate that sub tbh.

Yep. It’s like 6% of the ocean floor has been accurately mapped, almost all of it close to shores.

We have a better map of the actual ****ing universe than we do of the ocean floor. It is the literal unknown.

At that point it could very well be some combo of the Meg/journey to the centre of the earth. Nobody has the foggiest clue what’s down there.

The one I feel the most for is the 19 year old kid, possibly talked into going into it with his dad and what 19 year old is going to care about the dangers of it?

I did some very questionable things as a 19 year old involving vehicles once everyone had their license for a bit. An opportunity to go and see the titanic is so slim I doubt the kid even thought much about the dangers of it.
