I wouldn't completely blame injuries
we lost games to the like of Fremantle when we had the stronger side on paper, we lost to Melbourne at home after playing a putrid 3rd qtr of footy, not to mention lost to Port where I would argue that we put to many numbers behind the ball which ultimately cost us the game
Sloane, B Crouch, Smith, McGovern and Knight, Playing in those games would have won min of 2 of them.

Lever going didn't cost us at all, as Doedee (luckily) matched his output, and will likely be better in the future. Plus he didn't do his ACL.
Cameron going has allowed us to play Gooch, who improved rapidly but still hasn't gotten up to Cameron levels. CC also missed half the season at Brisbane through injury
However neither of those guys leaving had much to do with us missing finals. Injuries, fitness, and to a lesser extent, player unrest due to CM are the reason.

In addition we may have dodged a bullet with Lever and got overs for a player whose longevity in the game may come into question.

Two ACL injuries already and yet hasnt hit his prime yet.

Mattners work at sturt perfect for Burton's role

Give it one or two years

Wrong path. Mattner is setting up more as a potential AFL coach in 5 years then a GM in 2. They could be linked though.

I am not trolling.

It is from a reliable source on our board

You are welcome to have a look
If you had any sense you would have written off his credibility before now. Or if you're still a kool-aid drinker you can wait and completely write off his credibility once the trade period ends.

Are we sure there's a fallout, if he's still training at the clubs facilities ?
Reid also intimated that he still enjoys a good relationship with Mitch. Coupled with him going to the BnF and still training at the club - it's not that big a stretch to imagine that he could still be with us next year if terms can't be met (despite his manager's best endeavors to burn all bridges).

I'm sure a trade will happen, but doesn't sound like it's the super toxic relationship that some commentators and opposition supporters would have us believe.
