Was good to get the win first up. No chance this franchise would've come up clutch in the second game.

Getting one in Houston is massive.Tense finish but the Tigers held on 3-1 vs Astros in Game 1.
Took a 3-0 lead into the 9th but tightened up, bases were loaded when the final out came.
A bit jittery but got it done. Skubal pitched 6 scoreless innings.
Could have extended our lead earlier but left a lot of runners on base
Gut feel is this will go to 3
Think that would've happened in reverse had the Braves won.Seemed like Mets and Braves balled out first game, then Mets rested anyone for the second.
Feel for Arizona, that sucks.
Getting one in Houston is massive.
Losing from Skubal’s 6 innings would’ve been devastating.
This team just gets it done. Gritty
1-0 is awful considering their bats.Orioles look to be choking yet again in playoffs
Its all about getting hot at the right time. 162 games and only best of 3 series means the better team often doesn't win. Why they don't reduce regular season to 155 games or so and have best of 5 probably due to $$$$Orioles on the precipice of being eliminated as well.
It's crazy how little home field advantage seems to matter in baseball.
Congratulations to Detroit. Superb effort.
How does a team go a big sell off at the deadline, 8 under .500 in early August, to the ALDS, having swept Houston? Amazing!
Usually a team that far back in the race and trading away anyone of value has an eye towards a rebuild and the draft. But here we are, massive props to them. It’s staggering, I think at one point in August the playoff probability was as little as 0.2%. The starting pitching and bullpen got red hot, whilst Twins and Royals to a lesser extent went ice cold.
