Fry and Noel’s HR were absolutely hammered. Crazy how much velocity they got on those pitches.

Cleveland is a fun atmosphere to watch. Hopefully get another win at home.

Yankees are just so meh. Judge other then the HR is horrific in post season.

Stanton? Gah, he’s so unlikeable

Ohtani’s willingness to move really has to question Trout’s stubbornness to stay with Angels. His legacy is done tbh. Shouldn’t be making HoF Either
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Just continually stacking the top 2/3 teams is bad for the league. Guy shows loyalty but that cost comes with never playing in October.

The one thing I’ve always heard about Mike Trout is he doesn’t actually care for baseball or having team success. He only wants to live where he lives and getting paid lots of money. That is his top priority, money.

Costing Angels any salary to do moves.

Just think Trout’s rookie years got to his head, thinking he’s going to be the GOAT and make HoF. Now his numbers are so meh, you can’t even argue he gets first ballot.
Sad, because he had the potential. Always thought he would’ve been the next Mickey Mantle CF at Yankees, but doesn’t care

Which is fair enough. He was very much talented and coasting through. Just like Bryce Harper. But at least Harper cares now to win a WS. Probably because Washington won in 2019 the year he left.

Come on, Trout could retire tomorrow and be first ballot HOF. He's had a shocking run of injuries which have obviously sapped his power. The lazy slob on that team is Anthony rendon, went from being arguably the best 3rd baseman in the league to literally not caring.

The problem MLB has about 6 or 7 owners that don't even try, the Angels being one of them.

He can’t though? What do you look at ? The ‘potential’ or the stats?
He is on 1,600 hits, 370 HRs. .299 batting average.

If he manages 2,000 hits and perhaps 400-450 HRs he gets a shot.

But there’s numerous of players who have similar numbers and hardly make it.

Rate stats > counting stats, especially once you've played for a decade. Many lesser players have more than 370 HRs and 1600 hits because they played until they were 40. It's like saying Scott Pendlebury is the best player of all time because he has the most disposals, or that Joe Root is better than Bradman because he had more centuries.

Per 162 games he's 9.2 wins above replacement which is behind only to Ohtani and Ruth. Aaron Judge for comparison is 8.8 and Mookie Betts is 8.2. Ohtani as a hitter is "only" 5.4, and 6.0 as a pitcher, i.e. 11.4 total, although the caveat is that his best pitching and hitting years obviously haven't coincided with each other. So there's a strong argument he's the best pure position player since Ruth.
