AFLW 2024 - Round 8 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
Guardians down 5-3, bottom 9th, 2 outs and Noel hit a 2 run HR.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.Ohtani’s willingness to move really has to question Trout’s stubbornness to stay with Angels. His legacy is done tbh. Shouldn’t be making HoF Either
Costing Angels any salary to do moves.Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Just continually stacking the top 2/3 teams is bad for the league. Guy shows loyalty but that cost comes with never playing in October.
Which is fair enough. He was very much talented and coasting through. Just like Bryce Harper. But at least Harper cares now to win a WS. Probably because Washington won in 2019 the year he left. The one thing I’ve always heard about Mike Trout is he doesn’t actually care for baseball or having team success. He only wants to live where he lives and getting paid lots of money. That is his top priority, money.
Come on, Trout could retire tomorrow and be first ballot HOF. He's had a shocking run of injuries which have obviously sapped his power. The lazy slob on that team is Anthony rendon, went from being arguably the best 3rd baseman in the league to literally not caring.Costing Angels any salary to do moves.
Just think Trout’s rookie years got to his head, thinking he’s going to be the GOAT and make HoF. Now his numbers are so meh, you can’t even argue he gets first ballot.
Sad, because he had the potential. Always thought he would’ve been the next Mickey Mantle CF at Yankees, but doesn’t care
He can’t though? What do you look at ? The ‘potential’ or the stats?Come on, Trout could retire tomorrow and be first ballot HOF. The problem MLB has about 6 or 7 owners that don't even try, the Angels being one of them.
Rate stats > counting stats, especially once you've played for a decade. Many lesser players have more than 370 HRs and 1600 hits because they played until they were 40. It's like saying Scott Pendlebury is the best player of all time because he has the most disposals, or that Joe Root is better than Bradman because he had more centuries. He can’t though? What do you look at ? The ‘potential’ or the stats?
He is on 1,600 hits, 370 HRs. .299 batting average.
If he manages 2,000 hits and perhaps 400-450 HRs he gets a shot.
But there’s numerous of players who have similar numbers and hardly make it.
