Glad we didn't get swept and the bats woke u finally,, but still don't think we have much of a chance

If it gets to game 7 then I would be confident.

But Rodon, Schmitt and Gil can't be trusted. Rodon is easily the best of those 3 but I don't trust him either. Even though Nestor isn't stretched out, I would be tempted to start him.

Theoretically the Yankees should have the advantage with Cole starting. If they do get up all the pressure goes back on the Dodgers. It would be a long, long flight west in that case

Pretty sure it'll be Cole against Flaherty today. And Roberts didn't use any of his high leverage pitchers yesterday, so they'll all be available today. I'm also fairly certain there's a day off tomorrow to account for travel back to LA for games 6 and 7 (if required), so I daresay that both managers will use their best pitchers today. No tomorrow for the Yankees if they lose, and the Dodgers can wrap it up today. Should be a cracking game.

Yep , flaherty to start and then we should have all of
Vesia,kopech,gaterol,Banda,treinen,brasier available.

If we have a 2 run or more lead after the 5 innings, roberts should empty the clip and go all in. Maybe even bring Yamamoto in the 9th.

Anything less, stick to 2-3 relievers.

So our offense has to get after cole and score on him , give roberts the option to empty the bullpen and finish it today.

He won’t do that. No manager would. It’s Game 5, not 7.

If you are at the bottom of the 6th with a 2- 3 run lead , you absolutely go all out. We have a days gap between 5 and game 6,enough time for the relievers to rest and go again if needed.
Our relievers pitched in game 3, got game 4 off and are going again today. So absolutely go all out if we have the lead.

I see what you’re saying especially with the day off. Managers usually have a “game plan” for each game and are pretty stubborn. So I’d be surprised if Yamamoto for example pitches tonight even with a 2-3 run lead. Although saying it now, it will probably happen lol.

****s going on at espn australia ???

I'm on IQ5, coverage automatically went back an hour to " Baseball Tonight " , had to hit BACK and then BACK again and the coverage was back on , but **** me....

I'm not sure I've ever posted on this forum.

As someone who isn't fully across Baseball, please forgive me if this comes across as a silly question.

How come pitchers in the dugout practice their pitching when the opposing team is fielding? I ask this because from the limited knowledge I have, I understand pitchers usually have a limit on the number of pitches/throws they make and the toll it takes on their arm/shoulder is significant. So why do they waste their energy by practicing their pitches? Would they not be able to pitch a couple of extra innings if they don't practice in the dugout?

They're getting their arms warmed up, also maybe making a few technical adjustments.
And pitch counts don't matter as much for the relievers as theyre usually just pitching for an innings or two.
