Thanks to the mods past and present for doing what is normally a thankless task, except when you set up a thread like this. I'm an infrequent poster but frequent visitor and I find the board mostly quite entertaining, with some excellent info shared from time to time. Some posters are tedious but it's the internet so I just scroll by if the content sh!ts me. I'm happy to have the views from posters from other boards as long as they add value or humour.

Mirror most in saying its all taken care of in a well balanced manner.

Would like to see the gameday match threads not locked quite as quickly at the end of match could just be a me thing that the Positive and Negatives doesnt always feel like a fit to post in right after.

I feel the same about said poster - not a big of fan of what they contribute but for whatever reason there's a few that enjoy what he brings (shit people like spearmint milk and I'll never understand that for as long as I live). In the end I rarely read his posts anymore, stopped a while back when he had a meltdown for calling him Ron Weasly. However, seems a shame we miss out on your content coz of it as I do value the information you share, I think you should just use the ignore button and/or not engage them, as the board is poorer for not having your input.
I appreciate your support but I am not one to back down. It is the choice of the Mods - the Qld kent or a few of us old time draft watchers. It is now a matter of principle and call us stubborn/arrogant/party spoilers, we don't care.

The mods know what will bring us back to open posting.

Overall great community feeling on the board. I genuinely can't remember the last time I saw a collective group of mods taking jokes at their expense so well.

I love that supporters from other clubs come in and are universally welcomed unless they're outright trolling.

Unfortunately there's one Brisbane supporter who is clearly nothing but a troll and goes out of his way to pick fights with members of this board while feining surprise at the reaction.
I've blocked him to avoid seeing his smug takes and bait, but still have the posts on the board from people biting.

It was plausible at first that his interest was in rebuilding clubs, but it's become apparent over the years that his interest is in being a smug prick to rebuilding clubs boards that tolerate his pretentiousness.

Hard to ban someone like him without appearing heavy handed due to the approach he takes to his trolling, but he is genuinely having a negative effect on the board and should be shown the door.

Interesting ATG.
Couldn't care about Qld poster banned or not.
Some of your answers/rebuttals to the points made by that poster actually inform/educate me a bit more.
Thank you for that & all your input... it really is informative and grand. Hopefully, that continues
Think the moderation here is great.
'Loose", 'lose', annoys me..but incorrect use of 'resign' and re-sign' triggers me more.

No complaints, think the mods show incredible patience in their dealings with both outsiders and the regulars with some of the behaviour that takes place and unwillingness to use the ignore function.

As a fairly new poster, albeit a long time lurker, I echo others sentiments. It's a pretty well run board. Poor quality posts/opinions get treated well by the board in that there is hardly ever agro.

Yeah a certain self proclaimed draft expert has out stayed his welcome, but I don't read his posts anymore, just scroll on past.

A few of the memes/boardisms could be retired to the dump heap. I'm looking at you jack watts.

All in all it's a pretty chill place to drop in and get a feel for the vibe of the club and supporters. Gotta say, pick 3 trade meltdown day was a hoot and I think this place elevated the whole couple of days

Said poster wore out his welcome long ago and many of us here have to tolerate him because of the few who do like his input. His condescending tone and manner at times wears thin but what really irks me is when he baits people with laugh emojis. I don't engage with him anymore but it shits me up the wall that we don't protect our own from the headaches more often.

I have no problem with opposition supporters venturing onto our board, i welcome them and can even tolerate hearing opinions i don't agree with or like but when it ventures into sarcasm or goading our opinions then it's time to F$$K OFF.

Apart from this one particular issue (i think the mods like him) or the occasional back and forth shit fight between two posters (when will people realize do not piss off Miguel) i feel the board is run incredibly well.

• How welcome outside (non-WCE supporters) posters should be made to feel on our board, especially if their views whilst arguably accurate are critical of the club or players

I've said this before - but love the fact that we're not a s0ft-**** board with a no-oppo supporters thread etc.

We should be able to engage with outside posters and be welcoming of them. Even give them a bit more rope than other boards would.

The ignore button is there for a reason, guys.

Non-participation and private discussions strikes me as a rather intractable way of attending to the problem at hand.
That's all well and good but if i'm trying to follow a conversation and it's all unexplained replies then i am forced to read what they are replying to just to have an idea of what is being discussed.

It's nearly unavoidable in certain threads come the end of the year due to the frequency of the person posting.

For the sake of following the conversation i put up with it. However for the reason mentioned above i can see why others are breaking away to have private conversations.

This explains clearly the pitfall of using ignore. The thread still gets derailed
