"Slip Slidin' Away" (with a photo of Geelong walking off the ground - hands on heads)

Geelong's finals campaign is all but over after the West Coast Eagles out-slogged the cats in the wet at Skilled Stadium on Saturday. In a dark day for the cats Gary Ablett Jr was reported for spitting on an umpire.

Courageous Collingwood Collide With Cumbersome Crows

Undermanned Collingwood fought out a tough match with Adelaide only to lose by 92 points in a game that showed the Crows weaknesses. Despite wrapping up second spot and continuing a club record winning streak of nine in a row, Adelaide have shown that they can't completely finish off teams. The pies were outscored in every quarter but only by 22 points in the last, signaling the Crows continuing run of notorious last quarter fade outs.

Following the toughest road trip in the game next week, and the loss of number one ruckman Ben Hudson, its obvious the Crows won't have any chance come finals time when the rampaging Saints will start hot favourites in the first Qualifying Final at AAMI Stadium.

Meanwhile the Hot Pies can look forward to a stellar 2006, probably swapping ladder positions with an Adelaide side that finds themselves in the top four only because of luck.

Brilliant :)

Well your easily amused, aren't you?
Look here's a nice ball of string, knock yourself out........ ;)

if you had a brain, you would realise that the post isnt actually a jibe at collingwood. you could put any other side in the article and it would be humourous. you just dont understand the actual point of comedy in the article - that adelaide can do a lot for no credit. open them eyes.

 still see no actual humour in the piece.

It's an Adelaide thing I guess

Don't waste your typing fingers, pjcrows.

The Crows have "undedog" status entirely locked up this year. Nothing can deprive us of it, and even if the Crows do beat Pies by 92 points the Crows odds for the flag will probably just get longer.

Time For a Change

Mark Thompson and Neale Daniher come out and say they will return to Windy Hill to be part of a new coaching team under Kevin Sheedy for 2006, after both Geelong and Melbourne suffer dramatic losses which end each club's respective seasons.

Both Mark and Neale reveal they have been made offers they haven't been able to refuse, with Essendon negotiating a deal to have Mark Harvey coaching Melbourne and Robert Shaw to take on the Geelong job.

You see no humour in it?

That can only be the viewpoint of someone whose side is always over-rated and never dismissed for no reason ...

... oh I see. Well that explains it then.
That's my burden to bear.......Oh well, I'll soldier on.............. ;)

Collingwood realises they aren't the centre of the universe and are a mediocre football side.
And on Page 14, France claims to have seen a pig fly.

See there it is again - that zany Adelaide humour.

I tell you, mate even a hack like Trevor Marmalade's got nothing to worry about...........

Collusion At The G?: Dees and Dogs Draw

Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs have played out a thrilling draw
that has seen both teams overtake Fremantle, Geelong and Brisbane Lions,
and leap into the top 8. Victory over Essendon and Collingwood respectively will see both teams playing finals football, most likely against each other.

Thomas Praises Umpires
St. Kilda coach Grant Thomas praises the wonderful performances of the umpires as the Saints thrash the Dockers by 67 points. Thomas said the 21-4 penalty count in favour of his team did not play any factor in his teams emphatic win
Probably the most wrong call so far!
