Was heading OS and I spotted Chris Scott at the sydney airport. We made eye contact and I was gonna say go the cats, but he had that sooky look on his face and I said nothing.zzzzzzzzz

It just wouldn't be worthwhile trying to have a human conversation with him or his twin!

2 weeks ago Neil Craig came into my work, I work in a magazine/stationary store... he bought 2 of the most expensive of our cheapest notebook variety...
Me: which club are you at this year?
NC: huh?
Me: you're Neil Craig right?
NC: oh yeah that's me
Me: which club are you at this year?
NC: working overseas this year mate... you follow the footy?
Me: yeah, Essendon... not sure if you had a good time there or not...
NC: heh... what do you think of their ex coach?
Me: Hirdy?
NC: no, bomber
Me: oh, well I said when I first saw he'd been raided, that I hoped it was for drugs and not child pr0n, so it's alright I guess
NC: mmmm...... were you surprised
Me: not at all, you?
NC: not... at... all.

Way too interesting for this thread champ

"Have you and Brad ever swapped places and coached each others teams just to see how you go?"

Heard Sean McManus on the radio this morning (oh and Ben Cousins down at the river in East Fremantle - still has a 'Such is Life' tat).

Genius ??

I've missed the point ... ??

Missed on both counts.

Yes you’ve missed the point. This thread is not meant to be about fan boy moments it’s an acknowledgement that we are more than likely to encounter a player in our day to day in a mundane setting. This thread serves as a historical document of these instances. It’s just a shame fools such as your self see fit to taint the quality of the document.

Let me list off my memories. I saw Cyril Rioli walking with his partner up Bridge Rd the night before the 2015 GF. Saw Heppell there once as well. Oh and Jordan Lewis walking around the tan. Dusty at the foodcourt at Chadstone. Boomer going for a run in Toorak.

My only other good story (aside from the earlier Barry Hall story) is the Ablett Snr encounter. I'll save that for another time though.

Was at opposite sides of a pedestrian crossing to Jake King a few weeks ago on Clarendon Street waiting for the light. I was briefly looking at my phone as they were changing whereas he must of been focused and timed his run perfectly as soon the lights went green because he was 3/4 of the way across whilst I was only about a 1/4 of the way getting to the other side when we brushed past each other.

As he passed I was thinking he looks a lot leaner than I’d thought he’d be. It’s unsure if he was secretly judging me on how slowly I executed the art of crossing the road in them initial stages.

A short while later I enter the Coles complex for lunch and Billy Brownless is sitting by himself near the cafe. No food or anything but was wearing a white hat and was staring into open space for around 3-4 minutes then got up and left.

I didn’t ask him whether he’d just had lunch with Jake King or not.

Really ??

Good for you.

I had to go to a new born parenting class and Jarrod Waite was there.

Poor bloke got hassled by some amateur footy coach afterwards. He didn't talk about Jarrod Waites career or AFL either, he talked about his exploids in the EDFL
