Rioli's was good, but you're overrating it due to your man-love for him. If Thomas did it (and he does frequently) you'd be complaining how overrated he is and that the goal was so so.

McPhee had a claim. A combination of genius and arse!

Davis goal was pure pwnership.

Motlop's was genius.

Thomas can't run through tackles though - thats what made the goal as good as it was.

Great grab but I still think Lloyd's was better. Got very high above 3-4 blokes and was also in the wet too. Both spectacular marks though

He got onto his opponents head because his opponent was falling over, Lloyd's mark was also in the wet.

Lloyd rode a pack of around 4-5 players, and judged it perfectly enough he didn't need to take it over his head.

Lloyd's was clearly MOTY. I was at the game, and the minute he took it, you knew it was unlikely there'd be one better. It was a classic one-grab big pack mark, and it was a ripper

Davis' goal was very good, I'd have had Harvey's and McPhee's above it, but I have no real issue with it winning.

He was under no pressure at all. This competition is stupid.

No pressure? Look how he got the ball!

Did you miss the bit where he lunged at and layed a terrific tackle, dispossessed his opponent, then pounced on the ball with a brilliant run handed pick-up on the run, before finishing off with the hooked snap from the boundary.

Take that all into consideration and its easily goal of the year.

It wasn't just an arsy snap - its the work he did to even get the chance to have a snap that makes it GOTY.

Leon's goal was made that much better by the fact that he was chasing from the time that McPharlin had the ball. It's more than a ridiculous kick from the boundary it's all the lead up work too.

Both deserving winners in my opinion, even though McPhee's goal was incredible.

Lloyd's mark was good I'm not disputing that, I'm just disappointed that a player from my team didn't win, there's nothing wrong with that.

Can't really complain with GOTY but would love to have seen Rioli get it. My favourite GOTY was the Williams-Dew effort in the Grand Final when the two of them beat multiple defenders to eventually get a shot on goal.
