Ah Wilson Tuckey. How this man keeps getting elected remains a mystery. Does he have anyone else in his electorate to run against??

He's the member for Kalgoorlie, the seat encompassing all of outback WA and an ironbar, I mean ironclad safe seat for a conservative party.

If he wants to sever any industry that has known drug users employed within it, he's going to be sitting alone in a dark room for the rest of his life.

Biggest idiot to ever be given a second of media coverage bar none. Yes, even Corey Worthington.

Including mining companies who had to start drug testing their own workers for safety reasons. Maybe he has problems closer to home if he cared to look.

For those who care:

hah. I thought he was dead.

Close, he is the oldest politician around (only because Bronwyn Bishop age is unknown). Born in 1935, he will be 75 in July.

Who actually votes people like that in? It's like in the States when a candidate who was dead, still got majority of votes for a Senate seat.

People, in general, are idiots.

These are the fine people of Southern Western Australia, taking in nearly a third of the state.

The Division of O'Connor is an Australian Electoral Division in the state of Western Australia. It encircles the area around Perth, and runs from the Indian Ocean coast to the Southern Ocean coast. It includes the cities of Geraldton and Albany, and much of the Midlands, Wheatbelt and Great Southern regions of Western Australia.

This is also well known for having one of the highest rates of Redneck. I am not really afraid of saying this, because the internet is still not accessible out there.

Convicted criminals have no place in politics.

IT IS ALLEGED THAT

Tuckey is one of the most controversial figures in Australian federal politics. In 1967, while a publican in Carnarvon, he was convicted of assault after striking an Aboriginal man with a length of steel cable.[1] It was alleged that the man was being pinned to the ground at the time.[2] He has had the nickname "Ironbar" ever since.

hmmmm, a little rec coke <<<<<<<<<<<<<<< bashing an innocent man with an iron bar.

The guy does whatever he can to keep his name in the spotlight. Absolute tosser.

Random Quotes From Wiki:

"In one notorious exchange, Tuckey told Keating: "You are an idiot, you are a hopeless nong", to which Keating replied: "Shut up! Sit down and shut up, you pig... Why do you not shut up, you clown?... This man has a criminal intellect... this clown continues to interject in perpetuity."

"In March 2010, Wilson Tuckey said that acknowledging traditional landowners at official events was a "farce" and that he had "never thanked anyone for the right to be on the soil that is Australian"

Wasnt this the guy who in his position as minister for the environment had the opinion that, as a solution for rising salinity, they should cut down the trees and install water pumps instead?

Sorry, O'Connor, not Kalgoorlie.

That only changes my opinion slightly though.

Yes I implied regional WA is a bit of a hole.

Haha, but South Western australia is still worth a visit if you'r driving across, just for the change of scenery. ( Keep away during magic mushroom season though ).

I like the random quotes. It shows how close in mentality the educated and non-educated pollies are ( difference being one knew about the words interject and perpetuity ).

I tend to agree with the second one though. Try sorting out who are the traditional landowners of Europe. Is the best system really first one to wonder in from Africa gets dibs on the entire country. Most of us were born here and have as much right to be here as anyone. It's a Farce.
Does anyone stand up for the poor white guy if he loses the farm that's been in his family for generations?
I wouldn't take it to the extremes that Tuckey does, but you can see where he's getting the votes from regional landowners in W.A.
