TIMELINE

Thursday 16 February:
Service revolver obtained for user pays event. Was stored at mother's as per regulations.

Sunday 19 February: User pays event.

Monday 20 February: The murders at Baird's Paddington rental.

Monday 19 February: Police have alleged gunshots were heard from a house in Paddington, Sydney in the morning. Four minutes after the first shots were fired there was a 000 call made from Jessie's phone around 9.45am, but it disconnected. Police said there was "no communication" during that call.

Monday evening: Police have alleged Lamarre-Condon hired a white Hiace van from Sydney Airport.

Tuesday 20 February: Police have alleged that partial admissions were made by Lamarre-Condon to an acquaintance of having been involved in the death of two individuals.

Service revolver was returned to Balmain & later transferred to original storage.

Wednesday 21 February: Bloodied clothing belonging to both victims and an $8000 watch were found in a skip bin in the southern Sydney suburb of Cronulla. Police launch a missing persons investigation and the homicide unit is notified

Later same Wednesday: Police have alleged Lamarre-Condon attended the Bungonia area with an acquaintance who police believed assisted him in purchasing an angle grinder and padlock from a local hardware store in that area, before driving to a rural property in Bungonia.

Police said the "small" angle grinder was used to sever a padlock from the gate of that particular rural property and then that padlock was replaced with a padlock purchased from the hardware store.

The acquaintance was left at the top of the property for 30 minutes. The accused disappeared for that period in the Hiace van, returning to pick up the acquaintance and then they returned to Sydney later that afternoon. Police said the acquaintance was assisting them in their inquiries, that she is not a suspect, and they believe she was an "innocent agent".

Wednesday 11pm: Police have said that evening, weights were purchased from a department store by the accused and it is believed that the accused returned to that rural property overnight and during that evening, having also acquired two torches from the acquaintance.

Thursday 22 February: Police have alleged they can place the accused leaving the Bungonia area again at 4.30am. "It would appear that the accused has remained in the city area, still in control of the white Hiace van, before attending a further acquaintance's premises in the Newcastle area and without fully disclosing any criminality, asked access to a hose to clean that van," Hudson said.

Friday 23 February: At 10.39am, Lamarre-Condon presents himself at Bondi Police Station where he was arrested and subsequently charged.

In the bad old days of NSW Police, gay hate crimes and Roger Rogerson in the force, might someone like Lamarre-Condon have been assassinated/suicided (as opposed to being arrested) on orders of some of those in the force for what he is alleged to have done to Davies and Baird?

Or would they have fitted up someone else for the crime, or it resulted in a cold case because he (reportedly)had family members in the force?

gee this story is now going to blow up bigtime isn't it, far out, so many questions and contextual/backstory angles to take it down as a true-crime story too, almost as if devised with intent (too early I know, forgive me)

sorry to those that knew and loved them, they seem like such a lovely couple, an awful tragic loss and the nation will be feeling it too as more details come to light.

In the bad old days LC would have been deep in the closet or exploited by the crooked for their own ends.
As to your 2nd guess about assasination plot I don't think so with family in the force.
You have a stupid act, that has ruined many lives, including the stress that it will cause all serving officers. It is totally tragic for all concerned. Obviously.

They were killed on Friday, my understanding is he took sick leave from the weekend on.
DM saying killed Sunday, rented van Monday night, Returned gun on Tuesday and took the rest of the day off.

According to Daily Mail,

  • Last seen on Sunday. So weren’t killed on Friday.
  • Killed them sometime between that event on Sunday (where they were seen), and the Monday night. (Prior to renting the van)
  • Handed in the gun on Tuesday and started the sick leave from then.

I can’t believe they are allowed to take them home, is this a nsw thing? I didn’t think vicpol allowed it?
They're not. Firearms remain at the station since 1996.
Dweeby policeman killed the civilians while on-duty.

No idea how this campaigner passed the physical he looks more pissweak than I am.

If he took sick leave prior to and took his police issued service revolver, it might point to premeditation. I'm thinking he took sick leave after killing them so he had time to clean up, he also could have had an obvious injury if they fought back.
I'd say by his actions as laid out in the DM that it was not meant to happen and it did. Whether they were both killed with the one bullet is another story. He may have thought he would threaten them and then it all went wrong.

Only one bullet is being mentioned.

How did he explain that missing then? You can’t just hand back a gun and bullets with 1 missing I would have thought.
Was he one-up while working?
Can't say as there is no other info atm. The bodies have not been found yet so we don't even know if both were killed witgh the one bullet...Which seems a bit far fetched if you think about it.
Just think...If the bloodied clothes, c. cards etc hadn't been discovered on Wednesday and reported, the murderer might have had time to cover up the crime, come up with a story or suffered from remorse and topped himself.

They both attended a Pink concert and she'll still be touring the country a month from now, album also released around time of incident called 'Trustfall'

Jesse failing to show for a rostered Swans-Giants umpiring gig

the creepy heavy-duty celeb stalking, a previous taser-gone-viral incident, the family police connection, the historical context between NSW Police and the gay community circa Mardi Gras festival, crime appearing to commence in Paddington

the ripples of this, you couldn't write it

And to shake it all off, with Taylor Swift playing tonight in Sydney, you've got this.

Who is the celebrity blogger cop charged with murder of Sydney couple?

This person that was repeatedly tasered including to his face by that deranged, narcissistic, stalker cop was charged and convicted of resisting arrest. JFC
Classic.
Cop probably got a medal for bravery too.

DT implying that Davies was killed first, and Baird killed on a later day.

'Police confirmed Mr Baird’s mobile phone was active on Tuesday night, when text messages were sent to friends and his social media accounts were used.

That led police to think Mr Baird was alive, and that possibly Mr Davies had met with foul play, given the amount of blood found.'
