My AA after round 5 Any thoughts

Jobe Watson has been great, but he isn't AA.
Probably playing well enough to be in contention, AA is a big call.

McPhee isn't in AA form yet either. Last two games have been very good, his first three were below par.

Jacobs is not a fullback. Although if he keeps going I spose he'd be a shot at back pocket. He's excellent when he can float off his man, and do as he pleases. If he had Scarlett, Cornes, Milburn, Clement, and Wirrapunda around him, he could clean up down back. Although you'd probably prefer another defender with some leg speed.

My side on a bit of what has come and predictions for late in the season.

Johncock would be a shoe in for AA back pocket at this stage of the year. Has shut down his opponent (which is always the best small forward) each week and also created run from defence.

Ben Johnson is having a great year and gets plenty of the ball, but hes get the worst smaller forward each week. Hes playing the Luke Hodge rolefrom last year, just purely there to create run from defence, not really for his defensive tactics.

Has Chad Cornes played at CHB yet this year. I thought he had more of a midfield role? Correct me if I'm wrong. I don't mind players from the midfield being squeezed onto the flanks or in the pockets, but none should take a position in the spine.

Harris should be at full back, no way Danny Jacobs deserves the job (even from a hawks supporter).

Haven't got past this sensible post from a non-Dogs fan.

All the BHAS has absolute respect for Scarlett, Clement and Fletcher but purely on 2006 form it has to be Harris for FB.

Cox, Johncock and Wirrpunda IMO are certs at the moment. The rest is pretty debatable. Id expect Cuz and Judd to push for a spot by the time round 22 is over. Kerr, Embers and Hunter amongst it too.

Mark Williams is crap. One dimensional dud. Its only because Hawthorn has no forward line that he kicks so many goals. Games like 3 kicks for 3 goals indicates this.

Not by a long shot, Bruce is playing as well as he was early last year, it's just the demons haven't been winning.

Williams is overrated, I know. When he is on a half decent footballer he gets mauled.
