2003!

I formulate 3 2 1's after games and this year I have come up with this. I will show some examples later of how close and how far away I was with the votes over the last 2 seasons.

1. L Power & M Ricciuto - 24 Votes
2. N Buckley & P Bell - 23 Votes
3. M Voss - 22 Votes
4. R Harvey - 21 Votes
5. S Crawford & D Cresswell - 20 Votes
6. W Tredrea, G Wanganeen - 19 Votes
7. S Burns, J Hird, N Stevens - 18 Votes
8. B Cousins - 17 Votes
9. P Haselby, L Hayes - 16 Votes
10. B Harvey, C Fletcher, J Johnson - 15 Votes

Goodes is overrated.

2002

Okay, last year, the top 16 in the Brownlow count was this.

1. Simon Black - 25
2. Josh Francou - 21
3. Shane Crawford - 17
4. Michael Voss - 17
5. Adem Yze - 17
6. Travis Johnstone - 16
7. Des Headland - 16
8. Luke Darcy - 16
9. Paul Williams - 16
10. Andrew McLeod - 16
11. Ben Cousins - 16
12. Nathan Buckley - 14
13. Peter Bell - 14
14. Barry Hall - 14

My count last year.

1. S Black 26 - (25 in the Brownlow) 1 off
2. S Crawford 22 (17 in the Brownlow) 5 off
3. M Voss - 21 (17 in the Brownlow) 4 off
4. P Bell 20 (14 in the Brownlow) 6 off
5. J Francou 17 (21 in the Brownlow) 4 off
6. L Darcy 17 (16 in the Brownlow) 1 off
7. B Johnson 17 (4 in the Brownlow) Okay, so that wasn't accurate, bound to have some way out) 13 off
8. K Johnson 16 (9 in the Brownlow) 7 off
9. A Yze 16 (17 in the Brownlow) 1 off
10. P Kelly 16 (10 in the Brownlow) 6 off

Nah i dont think he is. The stats guy on tfs picked Buckley to win and didnt even mention Power. If Power is indeed joint winner, it'll be the biggest surprise for a long time.

Ive watched Brisbane quite a bit this year and Power has had a very very good season.

He's at $26 to lead Brisbanes count. Get on it NOW!

Yep, as I said in another thread, he is an in and under player, uses the ball well, kicks goals, always in the umpires views. People are mainly concentrating on the big names like Voss, Wanganeen, Ricciuto etc, but Power is a genuine chance of taking the thing out. Time will tell.

Luke Power? Seriously? He's had a servicable year, but that is about it. He'll be your B.Johnson this year.

I'd like to get odds on Power outvoting Voss in the Brownlow. Dare I say they'd be extremely generous.

Cresswell won't get any where near 20 votes. Goodes, J.Bolton, Williams, O'Loughlin, Hall and possibly Ball and Kirk will poll more than him for Sydney. As for Goodes being overrated, it all depends on how you gave the votes out. If you were purely looking at stats, Goodes doesn't produce fantastic numbers. However, its the way he covers so much territory over the course of the game that I think would catch the attention of the umpires.

After the news of Slim Dusty's passing, I was a bit down in the mouth, but your comical look at the Brownlow has brought a smile to my face.

Peter Burgoyne has as much chance of getting 17 votes as Jack Dyer does for tossing the coin on Grand Final Day.

What do you mean 'formulate' votes?? Surely you don't watch all 176 home and away games so it must be fairly subjective. Still you're record isn't bad......

Having said that, from someone who watched 22 Brisbane games this year (multiple times) if Luke Power gets within 10 votes of Voss, I'll give Aker a wedgey next time he's preparing to do his handstand!!

Hahahaha, you better do it!

the comment about Peter Burgoyne getting nowhere near 17 votes i think is a load of ****. Peter Burgoyne will poll very well dont think will quite get 17 but wouldnt be surprised to see him get 14 or 15

adn Luke Power mate i think u will sadly see him get beating my Vossy by a good 10 - 15 votes. Good luck to you though :)
