Didn't the fight occur because he led the D'port team through Lonnies on ground warm up???
How good was Plappy Y'day? Pulled Bazza's pants down!
If it wasn't for him i reckon they may have been in trouble, Ulverstone seemed to run out of fit men in the end.
Now was it just me or was a Baldock Medalist dragging a leg out there y'day? looked to be a hammy or a serious cork.

That was just his ass he was dragging, he has all year. Kurt McCabe on Heazlewood was after that fight, he also did the same thing to him this before the first bounce. Must be something in that family, his brother is up on his 2nd or 3rd assault charge. Plappy was awesome from all reports. The mail is the umpiring was quite ordinary in the first half keeping ulverstone in it.

The umpiring is at the lowest level i have seen since i have been involved. Launceston this week will be a different side than Ulverstone. If they keep going as they have been the 10 selectors will pick a horses for courses side you would think. Maybe there would be a coule of changes. Couple of them stand out like onions under a parrot.

What changes do you reckon Docker 5. WOuld be difficult to change a winning side though. Maybe Weller though, he has had a good year so could be a chance. Bj miller could be another one. Stret with his finals experience could be handy as well.

Thats what i thought. Tough to change a winning side but as stated Launceston play a different style than Ulverstone. Plapp and his selectors have been pretty close to the mark all year and you would expect them to be close again this week. Nice to see Ulverstone back where they belong. With the also rans.

Close???????
I would suggest he gets it dead right if they are to beat these guys.
Dont worry same goes for Launceston, could be a shoot out from what i have heard about Plapp.
Derb has a good finals record, Plapp just a class above most i reckon.
a great midfield battle
it has all the ingrediants for a "ring a ding ding"
same goes down south with North Hobart vs Glenorchy
State Final would be a great standard of football by any of the 4 contenders, although i wonder the views of the clubs are with regards to celebrating there league win ????? sat , sun and mad monday ,
then train thursday , play saturday ?????????

State grand final is on the Sunday. Plenty of time for the boys to recover.

cant wait to go along to the footy this weekend, these two teams have had some great battles this year.
My only complaint is The Venue,Playing field aside the venue is terribly outdated. The grandstands are poor and to far away from the action. What is the chances of a grant from the local council for an upgrade???
I'm pretty sure there is no coaches box, i recall the coaching staff sitting in the grandstand at last years final.
We accept that Latrobe is HQ so lets get it up to standard.

Probably updating the scoreboard is on the list too I'd reckon.
I'm not against a manual scoreboard - not much can go wrong if you have kids who can count - but what's with the ANSETT AIRLINES advertisement. Didn't they finish the same year as Wotherspoon stopped making sense?

Expecting them to be close again are you Docker. Are they only 'close' because you - oops, i mean Stretton - isn't in the side. Can't fit 25 into 22 matey!!!

Thesbian you are a funny man. My mail is there is only one change, Young weller is available so he will come in, which means there will be one unlucky boy.

Umpires for this weekend are Nutting, Mee and Ralph. Well i hope to god that Ralph and Mee do a better job than they did on the weekend. They were f*cking putrid. As for Nutting. This is the bloke that pays free kicks for shepherding in contests without making contact. He believes you only have to run in there way and its a shepherd. NTFL footy is in great hands especially with the umpires they are producing.

How funny was James Wiggins the other day doing the preview for the Launy Dockers Grand Final. He didn't even seen the Prelim yet is giving an opinion on who will win and why. This is the same bloke that said Burnie would capitulate in the finals, well they have made the big one so not a bad effort. Interesting to see how Dev's vote goes on statewide. Espcially given there phone bill was near 10 grand for the last quarter. Not good signs in magpie land.

surely they will vote against it, with the list and dept they have they shouldnt even be considering it:confused:

Oh well, that's footy I guess. There's always a hard luck story about guys who miss out on grand finals, and I don't think it will change very soon.

Anyway, I haven't seen Stretton play many games this year. Since you sound like a person in the know, how has he been going? What is the mail on his chances for the GF?
I have heard on the grapevine that he's one of the hardest workers at the Dockers, and is a really good clubman as well.......

being a hard worker and a great clubmen doesnt get u selection into a grand final team.

and form isn't on old strettons side, burnie will want to win it this year because from all reports alot of burnie senior players are going to the darwin next year. could be interesting:confused:

Going to the Darwin? Well where else would they go - Wynyard? Penguin? I think the introduction of the Statewide League will make the Darwin League even stronger than it already is.
So who's in this mass exodus???

wouldn't like to name names until i confirm some of these rumours im hearing, but if there true atleast 7 or 8 good players are going to the darwin from burnie, along with brett porter and brett wilson from nwfa and a few others. add them to an already good list of darwin players that could or have played ntfl and it looks like the darwin will be a great league next year

Has had his day at Ntfl Senoir level, would be handy in a lower league, depends on whether he will still be on the board, Peters should go for young Weller I would have thought but who really knows apart from Plappy, Burnie should win, should be a great tussle, excellent again by the Dockers to have 3 in

no doubt, it will be a tough call for plappy to make but thats what he is paid for, that and to kick bags of 9 in cut throat finals, what a gun

all the best to burnies under 19's and reserves hope they get a win.
as for the seniors well,i would wish them luck if that idiot clinton brown wasn't in the side so i hope they get beat !!:D

Yes, I'm with you cobber! That Clinton Brown is too short, and apparently he is mildly ******ed. Doesn't hide it very well, does he...........
