Thoughts on Nahas?

Not sure what happens now. I assume the club is trying to trade him. At this stage i would be happy with a pick upgrade.

Say Nahas our Third round for (insert club) Second round pick or
Nahas our Third round for (insert club below us) Third round pick

The question is if no club wants him do we delist him or keep him for one more year?
If so where do you see his best football?
IMO he played his best football as a damaging small forward (something we lack in) yet for some reason the club has persisted giving him more midfield time much to his detriment.

I would say if we can't at least get a pick upgrade for him than we keep him. I would rather see him play as that crumbing forward though even if its only at VFL level.

Personally I would keep him for another year as depth. I don't feel the same as most about Nahas. He has been dangerous in a lot of games particularly in the last couple of years. I think as a sub he would have value, he has a limited tank ( which he has tried to improve) but when his tank is full he has good speed. IMO play him for a quarter and a half with instructions to leave nothing in the tank. He would add spark forward and midfield as he can run.

Maybe try him like we did white. Remember it took White 7 preseasons to get to some adequate form. I am not saying give Nahas 3 more years but one more surely wont hurt our club or hamper our young kids development.

With a physique like his, you need to be very good to make it.

A little bloke that even I would stand taller than and have more muscles than can talk of some estatic times in a Richmond jumper that we can only dream of.

Good on him for what he did. Like for him to be a Richmond feel good story when we sit back after the second premiership and talk of the journey.

Be great if he got picked up but more than likely he would return to his old haunt, Port Melbourne perhaps.

I like your theory on Matt White.
Didn't occur to me he could play a Matt White role now with Matt leaving the club. If a descent pick upgrade couldnt be found that worth a 1 year shot.
This is why signalled my interest for Chapman thought he could fill this role until a descent player came up via FA.

Anyone know of any small forwards up for FA next year?

I am a Nahas fan... He may not have the right body frame and size, but he is quite a smart player. When playing in VFL he was an elite player (too good for VFL). In 2011/12 he was great in our seniors (6th in our b&f in 2011).

If he is delisted that would be insane. He has currency and it would be Andrew Krakouer all over again, where the next club will profit nicely. For a team that needs small forwards, it seems rather strange that we'd be looking at delisting him.

You rate nahas as a future prisoner?

we were all calling for Jacko's head a couple of years ago too
Sure we were, but he stayed in a dark period because we didn't have anyone else. The team has other options now and Nahas isn't a required player. How long should we keep players on the list because they might come good? We can't keep everyone on our list til they are 27 just incase they come good.
