Who will finish up as the better player?

Kreuzer has probably played the most games in the ruck, about 30 odd. Ryder's played a handful, ditto Mitch Clark. Naitanui debuted a couple of days ago and could be anything.

I'd say Naitinui.
But we can't really judge yet as he's played only 1 game.
Ryder is very impressive though and is a similar breed to Naitinui.

It's a stab in the dark this early in their careers, but I'd probably say Naitanui. His combination of vertical leap and height (taller than Clark and Ryder) will make him a nightmare whenever he can jump at the ball.

1. Natinui
2. clark
3. ryder
4. kruzer

Who will end up the best Ruckmen, if Naitanui gets the right guys below him him will be the best ruckmen with the largest effect on the game, obviously he will win the allot of taps but getting them to advantage will take time, experience and game time with the Rovers and Centers, he will have the presence Ryder has at ground level, if hes effective when he moves forward then he will be the best player of all of them, Naitanui has beaten allot of mature ruckmen at WAFL level and he will start doing it at AFL level allot sooner than some may think.

So then you really picked Naitanui, because thats what the poll was asking.

Ah yes so i did. I read the thread wrong, thought it was who would be the best ruckman.

Naitanui > Kruezer > Ryder > Clark.

All four are going to be super footballers though.

Nicnat could be anything.

Of the three we've seen a fair bit of Clark is the best atm and has the highest ceiling for improvement. Clark beat Kruezer quite easily when they played.

Atm Clark > Kreuzer > Ryder

Then of course there's Leuenberger who could be the best of the lot.

Is there something in the water over in WA? Ryder, Clark and NicNat all WA boys - imagine if they brought back the State of Origin in a few years.

Kreuzer looks like the most complete player, but I'm not sure how he is going to compete with Ryder's and NicNat's leap.

Don't forget Leuenberger.

  1. Naitanui
  2. Kreuzer
  3. Leuenberger
  4. Clark
  5. Ryder

Even Sam Jacobs was at least breaking even with Ryder when Hille was off the ground.

Kreuzer can't jump...

nah, not that one, but thanks for the effort TG.:thumbsu: I think the bounces I were referring to were in the 3rd or last quarters, and he jumped well over him unlike that shot.

Carlton will handle the opposition rucks in future years with Warnock, Hampson and Kreuzer.

A war of attrition will work. :D

I'm not sure how Ryder or anyone will keep up with Kreuzer who is running harder and playing better football than any second year ruckman I've seen. They might win the tap, but Kreuzer and our other rucks have the agility to make it a contest after the bounce.

Kreuzer has a great footy brain and just hunts the ball like a midfielder.

On what do you base this argument on? Kruezer is almost 2 years younger and has been carrying the ruck load since day one, where as Clark has only just started too. Ryder has also just moved into the ruck and therefore has hit another development stage and will improve.
