Just a thread for people to discuss where they think players will end up and for mock drafts.
Here's my Final Top 10 as of 22/08/17
1. Philadelphia 76's select Markelle Fultz-Obvious choice here, he will provide Philly with scoring and playmaking and he will fit very well with Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons
2. LA Lakers select Lonzo Ball- Lonzo is the best pure passer in the draft and he makes players around him much better, now that D'angelo Russell has been traded you can just about say Lonzo to the lakers is a done deal.
3. Boston Celtics select Jayson Tatum-The Celtics could take Josh Jackson here but I don't think they need another great defender as they have Bradley, crowder and brown. Tatum is an elite scorer and has a smooth mid range jumper. He could start at the 3 but I think he could be great coming off the bench as the 6th man.
4. Phoenix Suns select Josh Jackson-he could either start at the 2 or 3 or provide a spark off the bench, he's a great defender and has shown late throughout the college year that he can hit the 3. I see him developing into a Jimmy Butler type player.
5. Sacramento Kings select DeAaron Fox- I think the Kings will take Fox as he is best available and they would love to add a young point guard to the team. Fox is a very skilled, quick guard who I think could end up being similar to John Wall.
6. Orlando Magic select Malik Monk- Monk is a deadly 3 pt shooter and will provide the magic with much needed outside scoring. Monk is also a good passer and could potentially play as a PG but I like him at the 2.
7. Minnesota Timberwolves select Johnathan Isaac- Isaac arguably has the most potential out of anyone in this draft, the Florida product is 6,11 has the ability to play the 3 or 4 and is a terrific defender. He is one of my personal favourites from this draft. He would fit perfectly at the 4 next to Karl Anthony Towns.
8. New York Knicks select Frank Ntilikina- I don't know a lot about this guy but he has a lot of potential, he has a 7.1 wingspan which is ridiculous for a point guard. I think he will be an elite defender at the NBA level because of his wingspan but there are many question marks over him as he didn't play in college. He has shown in international play that he can hit the 3. I have heard the Knicks are keen on him
9. Dallas Mavericks select Dennis Smith JR- Smith was talked about as a potential number 1 pick before he injured his knee, I really rate smith and think he could be the best PG in the draft. He is a great scorer and playmaker and will slot straight into the starting lineup at Dallas (surely).
10. Sacramento Kings select Lauri Markkenen-Now there are a few options at 10 for Sacramento (Anunoby,Collins,Jackson) but I think they will take arguably the best shooter in the draft Lauri Markkenen, he is a 7ft PF who shot 42% from 3 this year. There is a chance this pick could be traded.
This is just my opinion so only constructive Criticism please
