Glad to have him back for the year. Better for his development than playing G-League or 2 minutes a game. I hope I'm wrong but I don't see him having what it takes to make it in the NBA.
I watched his Summer League play on Kayo as I'm a Wildcats fan. He is way better than a G-League bench warmer in my opinion. His game could be well suited to the NBA if he continues his rapid progression in terms of adding something to his game every year he has played as a professional. He does need rapid development of his 3 point shot to earn a permanent NBA contract but he's still very young at 20 years of age.

Yep definitely needs a 3 point shot. As a 6'7'' guy I'm not sure what his long term role is. Josh Giddey at a similar height and build can't shoot but is a primary ball handler. Simmons who is bigger and stronger and doesn't want to shoot the same, plus is DPOY calibre. Travers looks like a bit of a 'tweener to me. I hope he gets a lot more responsibility this year with the Cats.

The thing is, there's nothing he does at an elite level.
He's kind of an all-rounder - except not really even that because he can't shoot for sh!t - who just has a pretty good feel for the game.
I like him a lot, but I'm struggling to see what the Wildcats can do in terms of giving him much more of a role.
Last season we forced him to be a primary ball-handler, and that generally did not go well. We encouraged him to shoot it a lot more often than he wanted to, and that did not go well either.
The outside shot is something that can continue to develop - and it must do if he wants to reach the NBA because D-but-no-three is not a role with high demand atm. Other than that I think all we can ask is for his usual hustle plays at both ends but on a more consistent basis.

Pretty sure he's already confirmed for Adelaide next season anyway, sorry 36ers fans.

New finals system this season. Top 6 with play in games.

Good move.

Phoenix and Perth were both certainly worthy of playing finals last season.

Perth weren't, they had completley crashed and burned the second half of the season under ScoMo II

I thought Perth were worthy of a finals spot, border closures affected them a bit. Should make it again this year you'd say. You'd definitely be rather coming in this year than last as coach.

We were better when we were on the road at the start of the season.

Something went majorly wrong behind the scenes between the players and the coach when we had the run of home games to end the year.
