Josh Potter stepped down from the Royal Blues gig, Daniel Pearce taking over.
Could be a long year for the Royal Blues.
Hearing a few old fellas will be called on to turn the clock back.
You wouldn't think Ross Young is coming back again if they aren't competing.
Will be interesting to see if Rylie Barrack hangs around.

Never forget the magic bandaids on each fingertip.
“Oh you got a sore hammy just pop ya pants off and hop up there me boy and let Pat have a look!”
Unreal to believe that his real accreditation was in greyhound racing physio wasn’t it? No doubt a legacy that will never be topped in country footy and possibly beyond!
Yes a big loss to the Donald & District community. I went to see Pat Allen with a 2 week hammy strain and he got me on the park the following Saturday!
Rest in Peace great man

Barrack signed at Ballarat so a good friend tells me .
Donald will slide & boort on the up.
Just can’t see Calder competing with depth with all the departures
Sealake birchip wedderburn top 3 for me

I feel like bulls will have a lot more to come. Sea lake will still be very good. If they keep JJ then I reckon they will finish top. Calder will be good in both grades. Burn to be solid but I reckon there is a big hole left from Hargreaves leaving and even Tom Campbell. Haven’t heard much from boort but if they keep baddely Kelly and Keeble they will be solid. Saints I feel should be a big riser. Caddy will be very good. Along with schilder, hungerford and kirwood. As well as keeping their ruckman from last year. Donald from what I have heard will fall off a fair bit. Lost a lot. I think they may still get a few from Keillor as they always do. Charlton may struggle again. Have lost a couple but also gained a couple. Should be a good year for the league nonetheless

I’m tipping Caddy plays less than 6 games

Self diagnosed 2 week hammy ?
As much of a wizard he was, not sure he could make your muscle repair itself any quicker 😂

Wedderburn a bit of a smoky for mine. Finished off hot last year and missed Jayden jones for half the year. Jake Pallprat will go well and is his brother Zac can stay healthy he should be a good addition on ball for them. I’ve heard Jensen is a very handy player too

Campbell was just a great target up forward. Always made a contest, not afraid to throw his weight around
And to have a local like Hargreaves be very hard to replace .
Looking at depth tho Wedderburn will struggle
I think sealake and boort will be only ones with good depth / reserves side

Is Tom Campbell going to Sandhurst?

Thanks tmf.
Bit of a Slags/Redbacks connection over the years, Barnesy was at slags I think, connection goes back to late 80s Kevin Walsh/ Peter Perez were slags I think. Heard a whisper Redbacks may have had a word with Will Holt about returning but dont think anything eventuated, would have been a handy 1 point pick up.

Did one of the Zelencich’s head back to Carisbrook mid year last year? What happened there?

3 of them signed at Redbacks. One didnt play think he played the season at Carisbrook. The full forward broke his arm mid season and I think got cleared back but was fairly ordinary in the game I saw him play, dont know what happened with the 3rd one, played a few games but didnt figure come finals time

3rd one ended up getting dropped late in the season I think

You hit the nail on the head about depth. Sea Lake, Boort and Calder have it the rest dont. Will be interesting to see if there is an improvement in junior numbers across the league, hopefully kids can be getting over the covid effect and get back into sport.

Don’t think Calder will have any depth at all .
Will finish 4/5 in seniors & same in reserves
