I’m tipping Matt Wade to have a big year after injuries held him back last year. Jack Exell to show everyone how good he really is.

Exell body language pretty piss poor when things don’t go his way I’m told .
But obviously can play when he’s up and going

Zac Phillips the ruckman for saints.
Also did Tyson McKenzie end up doing any damage to his knee in the last quarter of the granny. Remember he got carried off

Redbacks with another backman Ben Bacon White Hills VC this season, whispers of a ruckman in the pipeline, Having a bit of a dip the Redbacks. Backline looking very solid

Donald-Charlton merger? Nully Wyche were talking this time last year before making the big move.
Believe talks were held this year Donald I believe wanted a couple of concessions that Charlton didnt. Think it was most home games at Donald and something about if the league folded Donald was keen to head Wimmera way, Charlton wernt.

Charlton stuffed up when they shit canned the merger with Wyche a couple of years ago

I hate the “United”.

we probably should have gone “Calder Lions” first up and then if anyone else wanted in, throw the United on then.
Given anticipated major change, perhaps demise, of Golden Rivers comp how could footy look in the wider region (mallee, wimmera, river country) heading into 2026? Possible club moves, mergers, etc? It’s all looking inevitable something is going to happen

Would it be a far-fetched idea to have a Golden Rivers FC formed out of some or all of the clubs in that league and join the Central Murray league?
That would require an administrative body or organization to show some leadership and have some sort of meeting to get the ball rolling. As it appears no such thing exists perhaps individual leagues and clubs need to take the lead.
