Not everyone is on the Calder...

It is only the clubs struggling for Jnrs that need to worry about mergers.
Sea Lake (already a merged side), St Arn and Boort all seem to have good jnr numbers.
Their challenge is to develop the players in to good open age players alongside a culture that they want to stay involved in, eg travel back for.

I would have thought Donald would be ok but they seem to have been light on Jnr numbers recently.
Birchip have done well with their Kids in recent years, they don't have a lot of numbers, but have been able to get their jnrs into finals.

While it has improved in the last two years, I'd like to see the league introduce something a little more rigid then the "gentleman's agreement" that currently stands. Making it a 14-16 a side comp rather then the full 18 would be very beneficial.

There was a league around here that was 16 a side for under 17’s but if both sides had plenty of numbers they could play 18

Do surplus juniors still pull on the opposition jumper to even up the numbers in NCFL? Used to be a thing when I was a kid and the top up players often seemed to go up a level when playing against their mates. Point to prove I guess?

How long will it take for it to dawn on them that the league needs to have a good long chat about the future directions of the clubs and the league.

I remember we changed players each quarter once and got the 4 points taken off us, nearly cost us the double chance

Bendigo
