Hehe come on guys, just a bit of banter. Didn't mean to kick the hornets' nest.
Your obsession does seem a bit unhealthy though.
Everyone responded with banter that was no more provocative than yours. Get a grip

Scully got much more than a bake - he was truly despised and posted about accordingly. With Toump it's more of a sport - I don't think anyone actually hates him, it's just fun to rag on him, and Port pumping him up to be the next Chris Judd every week just makes it more tempting to do so.

Poor old Dmitri isn't good enough to hate

Harsh thread.. Toump was an average footballer yes, but he was passionate about the Dees and would not have been his decision to leave. Seemed like a decent bloke and not deserving of some of the vitriol here. Scully and gold-digger frawley are far more deserving of a bake than Demitri.
And Howe, and campaigner Clark. Plenty of em...

Totally agree. Biff is bringing down some bad karma here. We **** up the draft pick and blame the kid. Scully ****ed us over 100 times worse.

22 disposals and 5 tackles yesterday.

View attachment 244930

Meanwhile Kennedy had 16 touches 9 tackles and kicked 2 goals
Plus hes had over 89 in 3 games this year, Toumpas hasnt had 1

Good luck with him, we have 22 blokes every week who go hard at the footy while you have a bloke who can play well in 80 point wins

I wasn't aware we traded Kennedy for Toump. All I was doing is pointing out that the turnaround is happening and he has learnt a defensive side to his game since being at Port only 6 rounds in. 8 tackles last week too.

What did you think of his game high 5 clangers?

Not ideal but when you play a high risk/attacking game then you will always get some of those.

I know you're excited by his 22 disposals but this from your clubs board changes vs Carlton thread

the Toump needs a rest.

Gray for Toumpas (maybe?)

The only change should be Toumpass as he is a shocker

Out: Toumpas
In: Butcher

Toumpas still a bit slow but his disposal has been horrid.
Thats just the first page.

He won't be dropped. He's running at 72% effective disposal which is respectable. Improving as a player every week. Obviously he is coming from a long way back when you consider the football he was playing at Melbourne, but with a good system in place he's turning the corner.

Jimbo's the same dack-packing deer in the headlights he's always been and always will be unfortunately.

Tends to happen when a player chips it sideways and backwards.

It looks like a much better system than the one he was a part of at Melbourne (Which was responsible for developing Viney, McDonald, Kent etc).

Nothing wrong with the Dees system, every player is hard as **** and we shed anyone who wasnt

Same. I can't bring myself to hate the Toump, sure he is soft but honestly seemed like a really good kid. Howe can eat a dick.
Completely agree.
A victim of being selected too early and having many blokes picked after him him going better.
Howe the one trick pony thinking he's worth more is hilarious.
In the 100 odd games he played for Melbourne I honestly can't think of a time he played a full game and finished in our best 3 on any given day.

Yep you get the feeling Toump is getting better and better the longer he plays at Port. Good signs.
Really? I watched your game (until it became junk time and boring) and Toumpas had almost no impact I thought. If he has improved, it is subtle. Good luck to him though.

I just think it's lovely that he keeps getting a game. I certainly hope he plays against us. I look forward to seeing his shorts as Viney, Oliver, Bugg etc proceed to chase and tackle him.

One of my Port mates texted me yesterday. 'Toumpas is shocking mate. He looks like he panics when he's got it."

From the limited footage I saw yesterday, Toump got caught HTB once thinking he was Dal Santo in traffic then the usual 3-4 blind kicks forward to nobody in particular.

But yep, he's on the improve and on his way to being de-Melbourned now he's got a good system in place. Arrogant twats.
