We might... we try to cover everything but every now and again, with memory constraints or some bug or whatever these things do happen.

Madden had a US$46.5million budget - see this one without a head:

What is it with heads missing lol. I've seen some glitches in my day, but this one is hilarious!

Fair to say then, that EA probably had $46 million more to work with than Big Ant and yet Madden still has it's glitches...So for a glitch or 2 to happen in RLL or AFL 10 isn't so bad I guess.

Is the PS3 version of AFL 2010 in 1080 HD? Will there be a demo out soon? Is there a create a player mode? Is there a editor? Are we able to make customised jumpers? Is there a coaching mode? Thanks.

alrighty didnt realise it was so common, dont know much about it so dont know the difficulties etc.
extra couple of questions :)
will part time stadiums like gold coast, canberra, darwin etc be included?
will there be more sponsors on the boundary then the ones showen in the screenshots? (from what i could see, they where only the AFL and Toyota ones)

I suggest you and nofeet go read the FAQ topic.

Do people even bother to read the Title of the thread?

That's a given - I am already compiling lists of what we might look at in RLL.

If we can keep up the interest I'll be look into setting a up a sub forum dedicated to AFL games and support/feeback.

i did read it, and from what i saw no mention on stadiums/boundary sponsors?
Well Ross has said that these are not screenshots they are just "snippets" from the game, they havent been given the ok to show sponsors as these are pre release pictures.

It's pretty hard to "knit" the audio together. Every line has to be said in different pitches (flat, excited, etc...) and then every player's name in the same pitches so that it flows.

Yeah I always wonder how boring it gets for the speaker/Commentator after doing it for so long at the end everything would probably sound a bit monotone

I'm only posting these words because every post has a 4 character minimum and I thought I may as well create a sentence.
Rugby is inherently repetitive. The gameplay seems to replicate it for the most part. Have you seen a game of Rugby before? I mean it is pretty much the exact same thing over and over and then a kick every so often. I mean, getting a bit more into it, sure it's sometimes got a bit more to it but really it's repetitive in nature.
Hey Ross,

Still have 2 questions that I've tried to ask you 10 times but havent had answered yet mate:
It's been stated numerous times if you're questions aren't being answered they most likely can't be. Ross doesn't miss much so he's not overlooking your posts just to piss you off.

hope afl doesnt have any glitches like this :/

just a quick question for you ross, who is the special comments commentator
Some glitches are bad, some are hilarious and add to the game. This is the latter, if it does somehow end up happening in AFL 2010/2011 I won't be particularly bothered. Patch stuff that's gamebreaking, I'd be turning this into a cheat for use for the lulz.
thats nothing major

nothing to lost your head over
Almost.

To be fair though, name a sport that isn't repetitive. (Apart from ultimate frisbee. That's not repetitive, that's just awesome).

Ross when is this release date announcement.

I would like to come back and read this on the day it's announced.
can't be stuff checking in on this site every couple of days for the announcement.

Why does it not surprise me that this kid joined two days ago.

SMH big time.

To a certain extent most sports are. But in terms of game depth and tactical play RL is really one of the more shallow sports (I'll try not to offend RL nuts:eek:).

Doesn't mean it's not fun to watch/play/transfer to game, but it's definitely not as complex of a sport that AFL can be.

In my opinion the commentary should really have as little names as possible. Like the NBA or Fifa games, the commentator's instead of saying, "Lakers...have had a really good game tonight." They refer to the teams as "this club" and it's said in a full, ambiguous statement (e.g. "You've got to admire the work-rate of this club tonight." Or, "HE has really put in 100% tonight," instead of "Ablett...has the ball on a string.")

I hope that makes sense.

If all else fails, I'll just turn the commentary off.

With the commentary, how nice would it be if we could just disect real AFL commentary and just put it in soo it would at least sound real

Great idea, just edit bits of real commentary and piece it all together.

instead of "Didak................................a great goal from.....................Didak......................that's his second.............:D etc etc

i liked the commentary in the old AFL games.
mitchell.... coming off the ground..... mitchell.... coming off the ground..... mitchel..... looks hurt (30 seconds later) mitchell.... coming off the ground!
love it!

I love the commentary in FIFA 10.

*Ref shows red card to player*

"Wha...Oh I think here's off here, it could be a red card..."

*Player walks off the pitch*

"He's already got a yellow, what'll the ref do here?"

*Match continues*

"OH NO ITS A RED CARD HE'S OFF!"

Basically, no one can get it 100% right. A non-robotic commentary is all we really ask for.

Wtf, that style of commentary is shithouse, it's completely unrealistic. Commentary should be as much like real life sports commentary as possible.

The problem with the old AFL commentary was that it was slack. Instead of recording several complete sentences for each player, it was just a case of recording Cometti saying each player name once, and then tacking that onto about 20 odd different sentences. Very slack.
