New Blues logo?

Was reading the thread about club logos up on the main board and was wondering how people feel about our current CFC monogram? I don't think I've ever gotten used to the slimmed-down rounder Carlton logo that's in use now. Personally I loved the old historic one with the latin script and the wreath. It had class, but it also had a bit of meat to it. The new logo looks a bit naked in comparison. I got a mate of mine who does some sports branding to have a crack at the new logo to make it a bit stronger and more in tune with our past shields. Be interested to hear what people think about it:

i really hate the script.

i'm partial to the design but i really don't think there's any need to much about with it. i like starting the year knowing were not running out with some ridiculous jumper and sponsors are the only difference.

Don't really like it. That said I don't like our boring new simple logo either. bring back the wreath!

If I were to modernise it (going by what you've got there):

lose the background (so the CFC and wreath are the only elements).
Keep the wreath but ditch the footy
Change the colour of 'CFC' to Navy Blue
whack an '1864' at the bottom point of the wreath (in sky blue, the same colour as the wreath).
Make the wreath go up one third on each side from the bottom

Still a good effort by your mate though

and for getting rid of the old mascot lol seriously does anyone have a pic of him?? ive been looking for one everywhere in galleries and image searches, dont have my old memorabilia anymore and am desperate for a pic of this guy
