Our onfield performance aside the clubs in great shape , prob best it’s ever been , so to suggest that we’d ignore any internal candidates is quite farcical. I’m not saying that they’re categorically best fit but they most certainly should be in the mix as they’ve been contributing to where we are now , financial powerhouse with strong rev streams outside of footy ops the envy of the comp . We certainly got some challenges tho so we best go thru the paces and ensure we get the very best candidate

Yeah ruling any group out specifically be it internal or external is just silly and potentially ruling out the best candidate before they even get a chance to put their case forward
Look at Morris with our VFL side
A lot of eye roles when he was first made our VFL captain and eventually coach but look at the strides he’s been doing with our VFL program under his watch

I just think if it was the case, then mini would have stepped straight into Dimmas spot. He was much loved around the club and had plenty of support.
Outsiders Stenfort and Ponissi were part of an 6 man panel involved in the interview process and ultimately a decision was made based on the panel’s recommendations.
He has made himself available to start immediately ... and he has McBerney in his sights lol
