We went for the next best midfielder in the draft, after getting a ruckman with our first pick.

St. Kilda Pick 25: Chris Schmidt

St. Kilda Pick 26: Kurt Tippett

Tippett is probably a bit higher than expected, but we need a young ruckmen, and he has only played for 12 months or so, so could potential have heaps of improvement in him. I was hoping to get Brent Renouf so when you took him Grub it threw my plans out a bit. But I'm happy.

Collingwood take much needed ruckman Andrejas Everitt, raw talent, but very thin, with a good pedigree, bar the controversial side of his brother Peter, could be a great tap ruckman.
