Nothing a little deer antler spray courtesy of Ray Lewis or a night raiding Ashley Manning's HGH cupboard can't fix.

He'd be ready tomorrow I still wouldn't risk it give him the week off to prepare for game 4, I'd take an L rather than loosing him for a lot longer need him to back up TB12 when he comes back

Game Time Preview

Texans @ New England
When: 10.25am AEST

NEW ENGLAND
With Jimmy Garoppolo injury sustained last week will thrust 3rd string backup Jacoby Brissett into the starting QB however Jimmy will still be active as the back up with Julian Edelman as emergency.
Rob Gronkowski expecting to return (game time decision) will boost the Patriots offence with 2 tight end sets with off season acquisition M. Bennett.
With Butler likely to line up on big time receiver Hopkins, Butler will need to be on his game and don't let the deep threat receiver get in behind the secondary as this is vital to winning the game.

HOUSTON
With the powerfully built secondary lead by All Pro DE JJ Watt and physicality and smarts of All Pro LB Brian Cushing, and adding former no 1 pick Clowney, this D is very strong. However injury to Cushing is a big blow especial inside where the patriots will look to pound the ball between the numbers.
1st year starter and ex bronco Brock Osweiler will give them confidence to score. However Osweiler can turn the ball over at times. Stud receiver DeAndre Hopkins proves vital to winning this game if he gets on top or shutdown will definitely play a big part in the outcome. The ex patriot Vince Wilfork will provide experience and run stuffing ability but will it be enough to overcome this short handed patriot outfit

WHO WINS
Hard to say with Brady out, wins against Superbowl favourite Arizona and division rival Miami, it shapes as a tight contest. I think if Gronk plays and Brissett doesn't turn the ball over the Patriots will win in a close one.

Very good win. 27 0

Brissett and Jimmy G two pretty handy back up QB's.

Bennett , Hogan and Long must be loving the move to Foxborough. :)

So just finished watching them (out of order). Shame for Garoppolo. In the first game he was just missing a lot of throws, either a foot high or a foot wide etc. Seemed to really have it nailed against the Dolphins. Releasing quickly too giving the likes of Suh no chance.

Blown away by BB. Maybe I'll play QB next week and we'll still get it done. How weird was it watching the Pats using option runs?!

I guess if Brisset is out JE is going to have to try and keep up his acceptable NFL passer rating ;)

A lot of praise has been heaped on McDaniels as well, some of the podcasts I listen too belive that he will most definitely get offered a head coaching role somewhere. You guys think the same? I'm not sure what happened at Denver but I don't think that will matter.

He is arrogant. Very smart but arrogant. I still wish he'd have worked out in Denver because he has such a good football brain and it was evident at times that he could be special in Denver but he was ahead of himself.

Champ Bailey said he's the smartest coach he's ever played for but he didn't listen to the players or take their thoughts into consideration and adjust to what wasn't a very talented team like he had in New England

McDaniels made the single greatest contribution to Denver and its fans (in recent history) by trading away Jay Cutler. You owe him a beer (or 500) no matter what.

Let's face it, the McDaniels experience has worked out well for both the Patriots and the Broncos. A Super Bowl each and both reasonably pleased with how things have transpired. I'm thankful for his performance thus far. He's coaching very well atm.

Yeah the offence has adapted so quickly to qbs with different skill sets. Really professional job.

It was a given the Patriots would be interested in Reece....

---------

Free agent FB Marcel Reece worked out for the Patriots.

It's his first visit since getting cut from Oakland. Reece was suspended the first three games and could need some time to get back in shape. He should resurface in an H-back role.
