The kid flashed seriously potential against a very good defence. It's over to the FO to sort out the roster.

Agree and they fact that they dilly dallied around last off season has made the task of addressing the roster even more urgent.
Fortunately they do have cap space to assist in the task.

And - it would also appear to have access to some handy early picks.

Another week and another L.

You would think that the Boston natives will be growing restless over the garbage performances.

Hand Job Bob - will becoming under the pump from the NE media and hopefully 🙏 that might give him a kick up the arse to open up his rather large wallet.

Mayo was always on a hiding to nothing because we didn’t attract any feee agents of note, last off season, this as a matter of urgency, needs to change.

Always nice to beat the Jets. :p

Maye concussed, got to get that boy some protection at seasons end.

Bill reckons the chiefs stiffed us.

Bill would be 100% correct on that.

To part with him for a 2026 trash pick. 🤦‍♂️

Fu(k me the Patriots are becoming the Cleveland Clowns 🤡

Drake Maye is going to be a very good QB for New England.

However he needs the guys running the free agency and draft program to get some decent players around him.

Been a pretty inauspicious start to his Coaching career, for Mayo.
The in-house favourite son appointment, by Hand Job Bob, is looking pretty average at the minute.

He is looking like a guy way out of his depth however in fairness to him I perhaps should hold judgment until I see what he does with a better roster.

Because right now New England has one of if not the worst rosters in the NFL.

Their only competition for worse would be coming from the Panthers.

Drake Maye is the guy. The Pats need to surround him with as much talent as they can and, a better coaching staff.

Is Bob man enough to admit his mistake in hiring this coaching staff and front office or, will it be more of the same next season?

Another fantastically incompetent display from the Pats coaching staff today. Kraft can't keep these inept muppets around, can he?

Sadly we all know the answer to these questions, don't we?

He is such a stubborn bastard, is Hand Job Bob.

He will give Mayo another year to prove himself, might cut a few assistant coaches in the guise of being on top of things.

Kraft's quality of loyalty is both his strength and his weakness,

With nothing much more than a hunch, a hope and a prayer to back myself up here, BUT , I don't think we get much change in the direction of The Patriots, until Jonathon is handed the keys.

Hope I am wrong, BUT, I'm not expecting much change from Kraft and would be surprised if Mayo isn't given more time.

Best that we can hope for is a re-tolling of the Assistant Coach positions.

Now on to that other critically important matter;

Is Kraft going to open his wallet and actually allow the team to spend its Cap space in the off season.

Currently we have 139 million in cap space.

By way of comparison according to Sportac :

Jets 31.0 million
Bills 9.7 million
Fins -.829

Kraft needs to stop being such a tight arse and get some quality pass protection and some offensive weapons for Maye.

Oh well, atleast we’ve got #2 stitched up after that shit show today. Any ideas what we use it in or are we shrewd enough to spilt it for those needing a QB & get multiple positions sorted? WR/OL comes to mind.
I can handle losing, partly because in professional sport, it's damn hard to win. If Mayo had coached the Pats to be a fundamentally sound football team beaten not because they didn't try and play hard but, because the gulf in talent is too much for the players to overcome, then fine. Instead, we're watching something resembling the Rod Rust era.

The Patriots need a top to bottom organisational rebuild.
