Feel for Schoey but there was really no chance he was going to get a look in. Pyke is clearly restructuring the club and it meant an internal promotion in the titular head coach role was never going to happen. He'll get his chance I think, a lot to like with what he showed in the last several weeks.

Don't know too much about McQualter but seems to have been around success and with his age he will have the energy for the workload we have ahead of us and maybe more.r3latable to the horde of youngsters at the club than an older hand?

Anyway I'm wishing him the best of luck as watching us be competitive beats the arse off the last few years.

Good to finally have a resolution to the coaching saga. After two seasons of lacking direction it’s good to have a path forward.
Happy with the appointment and hope that he can bring some enthusiasm and direction to the club

I am more than happy with the choice of AM.
Was happy to trust the process.

Truth is none here have any idea how he will go, it’s a three year deal so no biggie.

Apparently very astute and savvy with the modern game.

Can’t wait to see him mould this young list into his old.

Also a side note bonus:
I loved that fact that none of the media really had any idea who would get the final nod. They were all just throwing darts from a long way away, hoping that they might be right.

To be honest, my only skepticism about hiring McQualter was the Richmond connection - hiring him just to get Baker/Bolton - which seemed extremely short sighted

And to be even more honest, I dont know enough about the candidates to have a proper educated opinion
