White is completely fine against the tripanel, I don't see how anyone could have any issues with it.
Yes, but it has to be predominantly white and not a singlet that looks as though it's still navy blue with an oversized white bib and a cfc monogram embroided on it. That's what Carlton's alternate looks like. Even their shorts have a considerable amount of navy on the side panel. And then, there are them socks.
Plain white singlet with a navy blue monogram, plain white shorts, and white socks with navy trim would make a classy alternate kit for Carlton IMO. No navy side panels even on the singlet. Just plain white.
Don't understand why they felt 'emasculated' wearing predominantly white a few years ago. And I don't understand why clubs can't go plain white with minimal trim when they do this with darker colours.
Nothing wrong with sky blue either. Sky blue like Napoli or Lazio or Man City, not the baby blue they had that looked like it had been through the wash with a blue stabilo boss highlighter.
Here's a revelation guys.......it's not what you're wearing that makes you shit! It's the people!
Some of the most storied sports clubs in the world wear predominantly white kits - Real Madrid, Juventus, Dallas Cowboys, New York Yankees, etc
AFL clubs feel the need to have to fill white alternate's with cartoon mascots, squiggly lines or V's looking like someone's wiped their arse after a night on the turps and dodgy kebab.
Well done, Geelong, Freo, Port and Sydney..........not afraid to wear classic white kits and showing how it's done.
