Must be an old prototype, which is really strange as we have seen LeCras in the new version...
Also what's with the poor camera quality?
I took it quickly on my phone.

Interesting to note, SGI isn't on the back of the Royal jumper, maybe the SGI won't be a thing this season? But by god they look fantastic.

The sponsor boards also have SGIO on them.

Considering this is for photos, you'd think a massive rebrand would've been timed with this in mind. If they had the knowledge to photoshop SGI into the 'unveiling' and club shop images, surely they'd have SGI out by now?

You have to remember, these photos are good exposure. No sponsor is going to advertise their redundant old name on them. These photos are in every 2016 team photo, they're on footy cards, they're online, they appear on the tele as headshots...

Just like they'd have an SGI website online. Just like they wouldn't be advertising their old name in ad campaigns in 2016.

If we see new sponsors iron on jumpers for draftees in November, and we have definitely seen iron-on patches for these sort of photos before, why not now?

Fifty bucks says that SGI was aborted for some reason and it'll be SGIO. Which I reckon is much better.

It's strange, because our training singlets have the sgi logo on them, yet the 2016 polos have the old logo, as do the training shorts on the team store site. The retail guernseys (home and clash) both show the new logo, although they're just Puma template pics, not the actual thing, but we've already seen the navy retail in the flesh, and it has the new logo. It's all over the place!!

Someone who's on twitter should ask them what the deal is??

So judging by that thing, it's not really a new logo to replace the sgio one, it's an aditional logo, to promote it's little slogan, and is being taken on by the Eagles??

I'm confused, so maybe we have sgi on the front of the home, and the normal sgio on the back of the away? Surely not, that seems unnecessarily complicated and confusing, and not great for advertising purposes.

West Coast should go back to Hungry Jacks imo

Do their fans even wave around SGI/SGIO flags?

How can you wave a flag when you're too busy booing?

Let's face it, these photos aren't that big a deal. With the amount of advertising they'll inevitably do when the name change actually happens, this stuff having O on it will be a drop in the ocean. Now the game day jumpers worn week to week, on the other hand... they will matter a lot. And I'm sure SGI* would have contemplated the added cost of getting the club to produce two full jumper sets if they wanted to relaunch later than round one.

Way too much talk about an unimportant sponsor rebranding

Where do you think we are?

The Crows did it in 2014 :/

That's true, but the difference was, that the crows had no change between 2013-2014, apart from the template. We however, changed our numbers, from yellow with white outline, to just solid yellow, so a few players wearing the old template would've been more noticeable than the crows when it was just the collar change.

The pictures look great, and clearly show that the royal kit is better. There's no reason to bastardise the club onfield just to sell a few extra polos in navy. I hope RTW is a first step towards, royal/peril.
