I was digging through the AFC site code and found this by itself. Does this mean its the winner? Code url lists it as clashvote.

How hard is it to know how to find this stuff?
Everytime I go on Chrome and look at the 'view page source' or 'inspect' options I have no idea what I'm looking at but I feel like it's possibly in the right direction?

I clicked on the article Vote for our 2018 clash guernsey as I was curious to see if anything had been announced. This message shows up within the article (Campaign is currently unavailable.) With the program URL snooper I was able to sniff the links that are behind the hidden page source. Opened view source with ctrl + u and searched for the link and sure it was there.

Oh cool, took me a while to figure out what was going on but got there in the end. It's the only image I can find so far so that could be a bit damning in regards to what design they've decided to run with.

Edit: Is there a way to go 'behind' a webpage (I'm not the most savviest in terms of this stuff) to find what else is going on? For example I want to have a look at Collingwood's online store and see if I can find anything on there, I know they have a couple things hidden on there like their training guernsey and a jacket. I'm assuming there's more but the only reason I found what I have so far is just playing around with the web address.

Anyone actually surprised that Crows jumper is the one that got through (assuming it's the E option they rigged to win)
I'm surprised to the extent that I thought management made a big fuss about fixing up the jumpers last year. ie. re-connecting the hoops, fixing the colours and, so I thought, creaTING A DECENT CLASH GUERNSEY.

That shade of blue is really really nice. Doesn't get used enough. It's almost got a steely sort of tinge to it and it's right in between royal and navy. The gold will look good in some applications and awful in some as it always does (ie looks good on the running tops but the Ross Lyon shaped coach's top is bad) but that's a pretty good little kit.

For the life of me I have NFI why teams rig polls to ensure that the shittiest option wins and/or why they put out such shit clash jumpers to be voted on in polls (and maybe rig it for the worst one to be selected). Like **** me probably everyone on this board could chuck together a better design on paper! Norf, you could have - oh I don't know just gone with your 95 preseason instead of that mismatched monstrosity (like what idiot thinks 'hmmmmm.........maybe we should put stripes on the back of a jumper with has a vee and a big bloody cartoon roo on the front? Adelaide you could have like just kept last year's yellow clash & replaced the white one with a red one? Like **** me how on earth can the designers look at their final products and think "yes........that is a jumper that looks good and fans would be proud for their team to run out in". I'm with everyone here (Gibbsy et al) who says that the AFL needs to direct a team to wear their shitty-ass clash jumper if need be in a GF. If they have a sook about it, I will have 0 sympathy for them - instead of wearing that monstrosity of a jumper, you could have - oh I don't know just designed a good looking one when you first released the new clash? The clubs, manufacturers and AFL need to have a guideline when designing a new jumper/s - if you made the GF and were directed to wear your clash, would this be a jumper you would be proud to run out in? If no, scrap it and start again.

Here endeth the lesson.

Well that escalated quickly lol.

But I agree. It makes no sense. Then again NOTHING in the AFL makes any sense.

****

Just out of interest, with WCE changing apparel and home jumper, does this mean the navy home jumper was a Puma directive and not a club directive?

That thought had occurred to me too. If you asked the club I'm certain the official line would be "Our choice, rebranding, getting back to our roots, blah-di-blah." But it does seem coincidental, doesn't it.

We will never know the truth.
