Suns going with an indigenous design for their away jumper next year: 2024 New Balance - The SUNS Shop

They've also signed a four year extention with NB/Belgravia: New Balance signs four-year partnership extension

Details about the change -
The SUNS will also don a revamped home and away New Balance playing guernsey on-field in 2024.

The minor tweaks to the 2024 Home Guernsey will see yellow piping at the top across the shoulders, as well as a blue stripe down each panel on the front.

The changes allow the club to use more of its secondary colours on the design; yellow and blue.

For the first time, the club’s 2024 AFL Away Guernsey will feature a permanent Indigenous design, inspired by SUNS defender Jy Farrar’s artwork Our Cultural Journey.

Our Cultural Journey is a piece of community artwork which was also featured prominently on the SUNS’ 2023 Indigenous Guernsey.

The artwork on the 2024 Away Guernsey represents the Gold Coast community coming together and travelling with the SUNS when we play away.

The 2024 Clash Guernsey remains the same as 2023, with the predominately blue design.

wonder if we just wear the blue clash just twice
v Sydney at end April at SCG and
v GWS at end July at Giants stadium
Typically wear it against the Lions at the Gabba too.

Also Lions training gear (note not a guernsey) don't think it's the same kit they wear for match sims. Youi/Caltex logos not changing in any way it seems.

Just found these, says 2023 PI, but the Lion is in a different spot to the one worn by Lachie here, and cuffs are different.
Confused as there are limited number choices on the site, so definitely seem to be PI.

Taking a leaf out of North's book 🙄
Why do you bring up North not having a clash jumper at every opportunity when you clearly don't even watch our games, or you'd know that we had one made up for the only game we needed it? Did a guy in a North Melbourne away jumper run over your dog or something?

Can you explain why?

I’m all for it and love the designs. But I just feel now some clubs including yours like to over cook it. And by the time the jumper is used 4-5 times in the back end of the season it’s a tad annoying not seeing teams in tradition kits. Have indigenous rounds back to back like they already do, each team plays 1 home and 1 away game over that 2 week period. Keep the excitement for these jumpers really pure and contain it to only 2 weeks of true celebration.

Have any whispers about the SuperClash guernsey?

I can understand that part of using it more than twice a year can feel like it detracts from the specialness of an Indigenous guernsey. But isn't it a good thing for a team to recognise the culture and heritage more than just a specific round?

A team like Gold Coast for example, doesn't have much "history" outside of the past decade or so when they were formed (not meant to detract from the club's history it has created in that time), having a guernsey that ties itself to indigenous Australia and can be proudly displayed throughout the entire H/A season isn't a bad thing.

Love the move, mostly because it's better than their Home so it'll be a nice breathe of fresh air seeing them wear something different for Away games. But I'd have to agree with the keeping Indigenous guernseys to Indigenous Rounds for the same reason I wouldn't want to see Retro guernseys outside of a hypothetical Retro Round or ANZAC Round for that matter as I think it would take away from the overall significance of the jumper. Too much of a good thing as they say.
