Issue with that is people could easily make jokes about them falling over, or cutting their legs out from under them etc. Devils is hard to insult, unless you bring up the horrible disease the population has been experiencing of late.
You could make jokes about any team. Bird teams have their wings clipped. Cold pies. Power outage. Cowardly Lions. Toothless Tigers. It shouldn’t be the overriding metric that decides a nickname. Regarding the Devils, we have already seen Warner Bros jokes

What's a timbers though? Timbers are large squared lengths of wood used for building a house or a boat... Not that inspiring. Just planks of wood.

that's why I suggested timbermen, with mount gambier pioneers colours, its a bit more than just ripping off the portland mls team who is called the timbers

Well it’s representative of the trees, not them being cut down but getting into unnecessary semantics on this. So many pro sports teams have left field names that work, I don’t see why Timbers would be any different than say the Power.

Won’t matter anyway though, because I can’t imagine it will be announced as anything other than the Devils come March.

the west coast tripanels looked terrible because they mirrored the front. it was a navy blue jumper in one direction and a yellow one in the other.
They looked terrible for a lot more reasons than that one

Whats the purpose of this design?

But in seriousness if it's to be believed about what happened with Gather Round last season how we would've worn this vs St Kilda had it not been for losing the "home team" coin toss, we should wear this vs. Hawthorn in GR this year with black or white shorts. Really should wear this for anything preseason-related.

Cool to see some innovation in the clash kit. The pattern won’t be seen from a distance, which is fine, because hopefully that means it will still appease the traditionalists. I won’t hold my breath though.

I think it was already mentioned a while ago but Wild always felt like a good fit for a Tasmania team. It leaves the branding open enough to even have a Tassie Devil/Tiger in there. And if they pursue with using the state rep colours then I think those will tie in quite well.
