News New Jumpers For 2025

We know that Youi will be the front major sponsor for our home kits. And Hyundai will occupy the top back and xxxx will occupy the shorts. McDonald’s will remain under the collar as well. It’s weird that the lions retooled their sponsorship page, but in the end, it’s still the same as last season. Only with different names.

That Carlton clash jumper... So disappointed once again. The yoke is just in such an awkward position Bring bay M&M blue.

Tried to mock up if they made the yoke not be in an awkward position instead of how it is like on the right. Personally would still prefer an M&M blue kit...

Seems like more of a retooling of our sponsors. Also note that Neds hasn't featured prominantly on any of our kits for at least a season. Ray White did feature on the coaches polo later on this season, but looks to be down a category now, and Swyftx started as a coaches sponsor in 2023, but moved to the sleeve of regular media polos at the start of 2024.

Major Partners - Hyundai, XXXX (removed Caltex, Youi)
New category: Premier Partners - Bright Homes, McDonalds, New Balance, Swyftx, Tab, Triple M

Of those in the category, i could see it being TAB not Neds, or maybe even Triple M, as that is a weird spot for them to be as a partner. If it is instead Swyftx it wouldn't be a bad thing as they have show willingness (in the case of the media polo) to do away with their logo background and integrate it into the garment. Triple M, TAB not so much

There’s a chance Youi could be our aapt. Which explains the name change in sponsorship. They could realistically take over Caltex. And looking at this, it sort of makes sense.

Richmond clash with the plain yellow back again. I quite liked the consistency with the home jumper and the sash on the back for both. They should definitely experiment with an all black back on the home jumper like the early 2000s

I agree it looked really nice as well. Makes no sense why the Home has the sash on the back but the Clash doesn't, should be one or the other.

So looking at Brisbane's updated website, and comparing it to it a few weeks ago, it looks like they created a category specifically for the Youi sponsorship. Last season, Youi was classified as a major partner alongside Caltex. This season, they're a principle partner. Hyundai and XXXX were platinum partners last season, however, now they're major partners. Replacing Youi and Caltex. So either Youi will take both spots on the jersey, or just the front, with XXXX and Hyundai taking the back spots. Either way, It looks like winning the flag has paid off for Brisbane, haha.

If we're playing outside Victoria against a team we don't clash with, I wanna see us wear our now four time premiership winning jumper. Especially if we're playing GWS.

I would have loved us to wear the Roy kit (red guernsey, blue shorts - vs the Swans it would have required them to wear their South Melbourne V though) in either of the grand finals to be honest, woulda been a nice homage to Lions of old

Fair, but it would be nice to see. Richmond did it with their clash and sold truckloads. The Lions have a colourway which has rich history, would have been neat

Our home jersey is significantly more popular than our Fitzroy one. Even during the grand final, most of our supporters were wearing the home jersey. It’s nice that the club pays respect to Fitzroy by wearing the colours in Melbourne during the season, but we’re an interstate team and our main colour is maroon. The grand final should always be played using those colours.

This would also be because it is the one most worn. If the team wore it in a grand final it would gain a lot more popularity. The original Fitzroy kit was also previously voted the best design (on BF), so an homage to it would look shmick. No idea why people think our guernseys are sacred, we have the most amount of different designs of any club for our short lifespan.
Staying with maroon though, even an adaptation of the below colours with the modern design would be amazing ( i have one of these in the cupboard).

They'll probably sell the collar space like we did.
We originally had NB at the front of our guernseys (thankfully they fixed the wings cutting off up the top)
