The all Brown kit with the gold V we've worn recently, is, all bias aside, one of the cleanest and most attractive clash strips in the entire competition.

The change is both unnecessary and completely botched in execution. Thank goodness we seem to change it every 12 months. Just hoping like hell we aren't forced to wear it in a big final.

I don't get why they've gone with such heavy sponsorship on what's supposed to be a "special" jumper. Just cheapens the whole thing. Surely KFC and Superhero could've just been in white text for this jumper.

This is still the peak for me. Mostly gold with dark brown shorts.

We've barely worn this combo though. Only a handful of times at most.

In my opinion, different colour jumpers to shorts looks heaps better than:
  • all one colour shirt into shorts (like a females jumpsuit).
  • white shorts in teams that don't have white in their colour pallet.
I think the above example should be the template and we only use white shorts when really needed to differentiate 2 teams. Except for those teams that have white in their colours of course, they can wear white shorts for all away games.

Could be last seasons guernseys?
Maybe was Cherry a sponsor last year? I only had a quick look at the Saints ones, I did think it said 2025 though. Robbojack did you have a look at the St Kilda ones while you were at the F1 shop?

Broken record I know, and sorry, but how are there such visible inconsistencies in top back sponsor sizing?

You'd think any professional sporting organisation would have parameters as to the sizing of sponsors. Hawthorn are taking the p155 with that KFC logo.
The AFL does have size limits on sponsor positions. But what each club does with them is another matter.

One thing I've come to learn over the years is the AFL is probably the most unprofessional professional sporting league in the world besides maybe the NRL when it comes to branding and uniforms.

Because sponsors don't care about the aesthetics of the jumper, they want their brand to stand out. They paid for the space and want maximum exposure for their investment.

That’s why the afl should have branding guidelines. Must be x size, must conform to colour palette of the uniform etc.
Size guidelines already exist, and there's zero chance they restrict what colours can and can't be used. Sponsorship deals will fall off a cliff if that happens.

Footy is a business first and foremost, and we are just a tiny minority of jumper nuffies on this board. The average punter wouldn't notice or care about the colour of a sponsor matching the uniform's colour palate.
