Update to this, this is what I'd assume and it isn't great, a bit too much white with red/orange, the black stripes won't do the heavy lifting really

I don't think the match up be an issue. The red and black combo is pretty dark, the orange pops enough to stand out.

Sneak peak they showed, too. They'll probably wear it with the black shorts for Gather round or another home game. Retro guernseys are usually used in home games.

And I think it's the wrong design, the white bolts are too flat/2D with the transparent white outline blur too low by comparison, and the triangles are too big with no side bars. I wonder why clubs don't keep records of their guernsey designs.

It isn't always because of that, different manufacturer means that the designs license may not be owned by the club, but rather the company that designed it. Therefore they go with something close to the design without it being the exact design.
Or the original design files are held by the company, and can't be completely recreated as it once was.

Another butcher job that is a poor recreation of the original. I understand if the lightning bolt can't be exactly spot on – they have done an okay job of replicating it – but why oh why are the ratios so off again? That yolk is massive. They had the same issue with the 2024 SBS remake.

I'm pretty sure the AFL would own the copyright to all guernsey designs. And I don't think any manufacturer would design any of them by themselves, usually the clubs design it or hire a graphic designer unrelated to the manufacturer.

I think it’s a far better recreation of the original than the last two jumpers (shockingly, but the massive white space under the collar on the tri bolt was too wrong for me). But yeah even still, there’s something off about the proportions that I can’t wrap my head around, have the garments just changed too much since the time these designs were worn? I can’t imagine they have, but I also don’t understand why it keeps happening with Macron. Will give this a miss seeing as I have an original retail version of this design (saving my money for an impending Ochre tbh), but will be keen to see it in action, hopefully during Gather Round.
