There's been a few mockups of the current Flying Elvis logo on a white helmet - which isn't too bad imo

The issue with this is that the silver helmet is synonymous with the Patriots dynasty which makes it hard to look at anything else.

Would need that red grill to stear it away from the Bills a bit more too.

lol

Thought this would be an opportunity for teams to do throwbacks but really they're going and doing s**t like this
Texans have no throwbacks, they've worn the same uniform/helmet since their inception. Falcons have done a red throwback helmet.

But agree the Eagles erred doing a black one instead of Kelly Green, and Commanders incorporating a black one is lame instead of a gold one.

Saints doing black what else can they do tho? And they did wear black helmets early on. Raiders would do black. And thered be a bunch who have no other option based on existing colors but to go black (eg, cardinals, lions, niners, chiefs maybe,)

But theres a number of teams who would go retro like bucs white, bills red, falcons red, patriots white, seahawks silver, broncos blue, etc

Therell be teams with no existing retro helmet so will just use one of their existing colors....dolphins orange or green, steelers gold, colts blue, ravens purple/gold, vikings gold, giants red/white, bears orange, etc.

Just seems Eagles and Commanders so far are the main culprits.

I agree, it's crap, but it's all about the Benjamins baby.

I understand Jerseys. but helmets seem like a niche market.
I don't know the breakdown, but I'd imagine the introduction of a new helmet would open the market for a (small?) percentage of supporters, which would increase revenue compared to no new helmet.

You would still need a good number to commission them.

Like even if its a limited run of 500. I understand how much they mark up the price of the limited run stuff. but it seems like a small market.
How long before a NFL team becomes like Oregon where they have a new uniform and helmet every game and only a few are repeated the next year.

Seattle are flirting with being the NFL equivalent of Oregon.

These all arent uniform redesigns. The point of the second helmet is to allow teams a chance to wear retro uniforms with the right matching helmet -- eg, Bucs most notably.

Obviously some teams muffed it -- Eagles and Commanders by going black helmet. And there are a lot of teams with only one helmet color in their history, so theyre just gonna try something new for that second helmet, whilst others probably dont bother -- Raiders? Bears?

wish Panthers would do a black or blue helmet. ******* silver isn't even a colour on our logo or uniform.

thanks for reading my post in this thread 🤗
