I've heard a few people say that but i just don't see it. What makes you say that? Last year Birchall benefited from Hodge, not the other way round. Grant coming back isn't going to stop opposition teams putting a stopper on Hodge which is what is causing Hodge's downfall right now.

I dont think its Birchall per se, more the whole defensive unit. The club is finally starting to get back to a full strength squad, and I think a settled back unit will allow Hodge more freedom. With Gilham, Birchall, Ellis and eventually Croad back, if he gets that hard tag he can always push forward or go into the midfield. Right now he has no choice but to stay in the backline, as we dont have the cattle to replace him down there.

Oh and I agree with spence, your avatars are quality. That girl is stunning. :thumbsu:

Ah yeh, fair point that.

I think we should all chip in and sponsor a huge avatar for Cruiser!

Opinions on whos better to hang onto for a couple of weeks, T.Tuck or H.Hocking??? Thanks

de boer seems he will stay in the team longer, west coast has a lot more competition for mids especially with swift playing so well in the wafl

p.s thanks for answering my question

thanks to you too mate !!

on the buddy front considering the teams the hawks have coming up next few weeks i'd jump on him now ;)

Chapman vs Roo + 10k

Pav vs Buddy +30k

Roo vs Pav + 70k

And who should I upgrade first- T.Tuck or Kerr?

I'd go...

Roo + 10k (Chappy is on fire but I still worry about his hammies)
Pav (Buddy's price is very tempting but I'd like to see some form first)
Pav + 70k (Roo is looking great but Pav seems to be coming into some form and 70k is a lot of coin for another upgrade somewhere else)
Upgrade Kerr (I think there is more chance of Tuck increasing in value ...scored 88 against Carlton who are hard to score points against ... Kerr's breakeven suggests he will continue to drop in value).

Swan vs Corey + 23K vs Murphy + 64K ??

Cockie vs DeBoer vs Davenport vs any other 86/75k mid rookie

who has the best job security? Thus who will play the most games (in succession preferably)?

hodge vs mackie

Tough one ... I personally think that Hodge's "ceiling" is higher than Mackie's. That said with Harley back in this week, Mackie's scores could head back to the 90-95 region while Hodge may stay lower for a while and he does have the odd run in with the tribunal. I'd say Mackie as the "safe" option, but Hodge if you are willing to gamble.

I'll ask my question again ...

Swan vs Corey + 23K vs Murphy + 64K ??

Tough choice. Assuming ur trading ablett? whos ur other mids. swan would be the safe option as he will avg 110 but i think murphy has more upside with carltanks midfield

Yes looking to trade Ablett and possibly Beams or Robinson to avoid 2 zeroes. Have 17 trades and $30k in the bank. Have Bartel which at least gives me a good captaincy option in the mids.

Midfield is Ablett, Bartel, Gibbs, Kornes, Rich, Beams, Robinson, Anthony.

Id probably go murphy then if i was you if you have bartel, kornes and gibbs. Also trade robbo instead of beams

Ive got 390k to spend on a forward, and it's come down to:

Steve Johnson vs Aaron Davey+16k

SJ has a higher average due to a great start, and he also has a more proven DT history. But Davey has averaged 10 points higher over the last 3 rounds, and 6 points higher over the last 5. So Rnd 1 aside, he's actually been better than SJ. My concern is will he be allowed as much freedom in the future without a tight tag? Can he keep getting 25-30 touches a game?

Who would you pick?

neither LTrav

both have inflated averages and are in need of some correctionalism.

Franklin is the one i'm really keen on atm. (ess will run him back into form, i daresay

Id go Stevie J......as you said more proven, and probably more durable.

What about M.Murphy vs Mitchell?
