Neade isn't your typical forward pocket. His team-first attitude is amazing, and a joy to watch.

His assists, blocks, forward pressure, and awareness is first-class (and made all the more amazing considering his age and size).

Neade's chicken wing tackle on Dangerfield and subsequent making him eat turf was the stuff dreams are made of. I was certain that he'd be a player who you'd give a taste of AFL until Robbie comes back, and chuck him in the SANFL to develop for a year. It's becoming glaringly evident that this isn't going to happen now. Gun.

I felt for dangerfield

First he was tackled by a 67kg kid and told to eat dirt. He was so embarrassed or enjoyed the flavour, he wouldn't lift his face from the turf.

Then got is face smashed in by another 18yo kid. He looked like a Daffy Duck cartoon running off to mum with his nose on the back of his head.

"It's alright dear, mummy still loves you"

The fact that neade is that amazing a tackler combined with that pace makes him pretty handy in the forward 50 while the opposition is scrambling to work the ball out of defense to advantage. His willingness to pass to teammates for better scoring shots is also a bonus. It's been a long time since we've had a few decent crumbers in there. Makes the forward line a bit more multi-deminsional. Last year if Shultz or butch or ebert didn't get a grab it would be out of the 50 as quick as it came in.

And the fact that he's sooo clean with his hands. I never seen anyone who appears to have the pill on velcro.
He reminds me of my namesake in soccer who apperas to have the ball attached to his foot

There's a great shot of that tackle in yesterdays paper. :thumbsu:

For mine, from a skills point of view, its his ability to hang on to the ball until he finds the best option available is what really stands out . The best is what appears to be a great character and his willingness to work hard on and off the field.

Anyway here are some of those skills

Round1: 2:58

Round 3: Take your pick, 2:43,2:45, 3:16 (probably the best of the 3)

Round 3: 2:50

Watched the replay last night, watch each of the players he tackles and their deflated faces as they try to get up. Patty D, Douglas and Jaensch, those three in particular.
