Also confirms that Siposs is definitely out until Round 10ish. I reckon that seals it for him. :(

Having said that, it also means he'll go on the LTI, which probably means Saad will be available Round 1. :)

I went to the launch with the kids and they had a ball. They made it onto the various videos and photos so even more excited than normal!!

I found the players to be their typical friendly selves although they did start to congregate in packs after a while which made it hard to approach them. Something that the media people need to get on top of. Rooey was his typical professional self along with Luke Dunstan who kept mingling and greeting people whilst the majority were standing around together. Eli was the same. Had a chat to him and was really impressed.

I also spoke to Sipo about his shoulder. He was a little cagey about the actual damage other than to say that it was a full reco again.

This current Saints regime is putting in the hard yards.

Lets face it, we came a distant last in 2014, but this current admin has really sold hope to the Saints faithful.

Us diehards knew we were in for hard times onfield and will again in 2015, but the strategy of the club since the end of the season has been really positive.

The futurefest was a revelation and a great idea. Trade period was "interesting" picking up Membrey for nicks and keeping #1

Draft day was very positive, with the exciting slider @ 21 in Goddard and the other positive selections. The drafting of Saad as a rookie was a good positive step.

With this enthusiasm, we got the club on the front foot with the 25k before Xmas which was a great positive initiative.

Now we have a major sponsor.

All great stuff and fills the supporters full of hope.

Our media strategy has been pretty full on as well. Cant remember a wooden spooner having so much media over summer, with the initiatives and the football stories for the Saints.

All in all Finnis and the admin need to be applauded. Having a champion @ AFL HQ instead of an intractable enemy in Demetriou also helps alot.

Good positive steps off field.

Now for the hard work.
this is a good summation of how well I feel we are going. Perhaps we should adopt the motto of the SAS as a second motto - 'Who Dares Wins"

Lion and Coke own almost every beverage company.
And interestingly, Lion is owned by Kirin.

https://lionco.com/about-us/our-history/2000s

Phenomenal the amount of small companies owned by bigger companies owned by bigger companies owned by bigger companies owned by bigger companies owned by an even bigger head company!

I'm still trying to get my head around it.

Just like LVMH owns Moët, Veuve, Krug, Dom Perignon, Ruinart champagne companies.... So if your missus has expensive taste, it doesn't really matter what brand you choose, as the same company wins ;)

Well the wife and I did the test today - we bought a Farmers Union Iced Coffee, and a DARE. In the taste tests (including eyes closed, etc), we both agreed that the DARE beat FUIC, hands down. We were using the Dare Double Espresso against the FUIC extra strength, but the FUIC might as well have been plain milk in comparison.

I tried one the other day. I think it was the normal espresso. And I gotta say, it was bloody good.

This is such a good sponsor for a football team. What footy lover doesn't like iced coffee?!?

Hey guys, just thought I'd share some info. We are very close to getting a new sponsor. From the car manufacturing industry and is an international company.

Obviously it's not confirmed yet as we are awaiting on confirmation from them but it seems fairly close. Would be a great get for the club!

So from the original post. Will this come to fruition?

Does this mean you have to move?

Assuming Hammers_Saints is talking about the same car company as I was in a different thread, the last I heard was they were closer now to signing with Hawthorn than with us

Love the Dare iced coffees, hard to find an ice coffee (in my town anyway) that uses real coffee and has caffeine in it. Plus it's low on fat.

With all due respect, this product, similar to hungry jacks, et al, is not what I would consider healthy.

If you are taking it 4 times a week, I'd suggest that you need to see someone for appropriate dietary advice. I have been clean from such crap for the last 3 years, and my health is great.

Also, the no sugar added version still has 25g of other sugars, which is still 7 teaspoons of sugar.

You don't "take" it, you drink it. Make it sound like you're injecting it into your veins or something :p

Dare is good shit. Long time drinker!

Look, I am ok with people rarely indulging in this. But, how many footballers actually drink this stuff? I see them drinking Gatorade - and that too during a match.

There is something called a sugar driven "high".

Look, I am not against the club taking money from this mob. But yeah, on an individual basis, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Linen house bed sheets were excellent, btw.

Holy crap!
We're all gonna get diabetes like Paddy!

Paddy has type 1 diabetes. Nothing like the type 2 obesity driven epidemic we have.

Milk has about 5g of sugar (lactose) per 100mL and isn't exactly bad for you.

Personally, I'd prefer it if they did a no added sugar but full cream milk version instead of the no sugar and skim milk. Fat free milk is trash and I don't need sugar in my coffee.

I'm allergic to lactose.... would literally end up in hospital if I drank that stuff.... it can be bad :p

Without trying to be a douche, that's a misconception actually. Double blind studies show there is no such thing as "sugar high".
