New Sponsor - Dare Iced Coffee announced as Principal Partner

anyone else listen to finnis talk about 2015 being the year where we need to decide what our home is and how crucial it is

I swear when I read the statement this morning it said that Dare would appear on the back of away jumpers. Perhaps implying that LEDified would appear on the front of away jumpers.

However it's no longer in the article so I'm unsure if I just dreamt it up.

I'm pretty sure that was posted on saintsational, it was an email to all dare staff with very vague details of the sponsorship, doubt its factual

Can't underestimate how big it is that ledified are staying on board as well. Correct me if I'm wrong but usually when we announce a new sponsor it's because we lost the old one. Rooey looks over the moon in his videos so you can just imagine how big of a step in the right direction this is. All we're really doing is catching up, but small steps.

This is a major sponsorship with DARE taking the whole jumper, plus variety of promotions throughout the year. As a number of people have said, it may be that our greatest recruit is in fact off field, with Finnis. The obvious professionalism with media, public relations, communications and now corporate services, merchandising is sensational.

Be sure that the Saints have convinced some very hard headed corporate operators, that we can provide the suitable vehicle for their sponsorship. A period of time showing that we can be scandal free and the professionalism that the club now shows in all areas was key to securing this sponsorship.

It did strike me that with Ledified now taking a small sponsorship position, that they were only there originally, by virtue of us not having anyone else. They had the major sponsors position, at a lower cost, until we could secure a major sponsor. Good on Ledified for stepping up and also well done to them for securing a sponsorship for that period of time, at a far lower cost than would be normal. This has not been said publicly and is of course only wild speculation on my part, but may have some validity.

This current Saints regime is putting in the hard yards.

Lets face it, we came a distant last in 2014, but this current admin has really sold hope to the Saints faithful.

Us diehards knew we were in for hard times onfield and will again in 2015, but the strategy of the club since the end of the season has been really positive.

The futurefest was a revelation and a great idea. Trade period was "interesting" picking up Membrey for nicks and keeping #1

Draft day was very positive, with the exciting slider @ 21 in Goddard and the other positive selections. The drafting of Saad as a rookie was a good positive step.

With this enthusiasm, we got the club on the front foot with the 25k before Xmas which was a great positive initiative.

Now we have a major sponsor.

All great stuff and fills the supporters full of hope.

Our media strategy has been pretty full on as well. Cant remember a wooden spooner having so much media over summer, with the initiatives and the football stories for the Saints.

All in all Finnis and the admin need to be applauded. Having a champion @ AFL HQ instead of an intractable enemy in Demetriou also helps alot.

Good positive steps off field.

Now for the hard work.

Dare Ice Coffee is probably my biggest vice, I've tried the other ice coffees but nothing compares. Farmers Union is the most over rated stuff out there, by the way.

It's nice to have the club sponsored by a product that I actually use. It's no big deal really I guess, but it is nice to know that they're giving money to the Saints.

Never had an Ice Coffee in my life before today.
But co's of the connection i went out and got a Dare to try
I took the safe option and tried the Mocha cos i knew it would at least taste a bit chocolatey .
Surprised to say i loved it
Im lucky we werent sponsored by Ratsak cos im such a pathetic Saints tragic i probably wouldve tried it

I usually keep away from the main board & Bay 13 and just stay on the saints board. If somebody else wants to put it there and take the glory im happy with that
