Revlon would be great commercially and from a membership stand point. Would surely entice some women to follow us over other teams. I know/have known plenty of females who wouldn't know a thing about different teams, but would be fickle enough to follow a team with a cosmetics sponsor.
Im not in the know so im only guessing.
But Revlon have a wide range of mens goods so i doubt it would be a huge promotion of the female products, but more aimed at promoting the mens range.

Revlon has a massive male products line. Gerard Butler was in commercials for them.

Shaving products is big business these days.

I don't know if it is Revlon - seems strange if it is considering that deal was dead in the water last year - but I wouldn't be worried about it being skin products of any kind. But really, who cares, its cash for a club in need of it.

And I appreciate people who are in the know, mentioning that there's been a breakthrough. It explains why we are, by far, the last club to have 2015 jersey pics released. And it settles concerns about our lack of success in gaining significant sponsors over the last couple seasons. They are putting their forum rep on the line - if it doesn't turn out then we'll maybe be reluctant to believe mail from them in future, but in the here and now, I appreciate hearing that the club seems to have managed to seal a deal.

So if the deal is sealed, why the silence on the announcement? Surely the sooner it is announced, the sooner supporters will go out and buy/support that sponsors products. After all the good things, the Saints board/publicity/hierarchy have done of late, this appears to be a backward step.:(

So no one thinks it might be Susan Day cakes after the hand out? Revlon was tipped about 2 years ago...they are pretty slow in the pay up if that's them.

You really think a cake shop makes enough to pay for major sponsorship of an AFL Football Club? They might come on board as lower level sponsor though.

It isn't Revlon or Loreal

Yeah, I can't see a cake company making enough dough (;)) to be a jumper sponsor of an AFL club. Maybe a minor sponsor, or even a shorts sponsor, but not on the guernsey.

They could sponsor the Rising Staro_O

Each to their own, and I certainly don't know, but I'm happy just to wait and hear it when it is announced.

Membership is up, new sponsor (maybe), a great batch of youngsters who have committed to the club. A great off field set up.

Seems to me that all the major pieces are starting to fall into place. Just a bit of tinkering at the edges is all it needs...

The future is bright and the present is not as murky as it has been in the last 2 years!!:cool:

Susan Day make those shitty supermarket cakes that taste like polystyrene. They aren't a shop. More like Sara Lee or something. Anyway my kids got hold of a cake down in Bay Street Port Melbourne because the membership department had set up down there. They are shocking cakes. Didn't stop me eating it though.

Free always tastes better

Is red bull, V or mother involved in the AFL?

Wouldn't mind one of them getting on board.

As long as it's not "Before Battle" brought out by Viking Protein, then an energy drink (taken in moderation) may be OK.
