A lot of undeserved hate here.
It's not amazing or stands out. But its a massive improvement on their current logo, and I am beyond happy that they appear to be dropping white and blue, and going for a two colour approach. This kind of re-branding mirrors freo dropping the red and green, and their identity is so much stronger because of it. Four colours are too many; freo and the suns tired and failed, and Port have never really embraced their silver.

The logo itself is meh. I mean, I get it. Its the setting sun over the ocean, with a big S for suns and in the shape of a football. There's a lot of symbology in such a simple design. But its not particularly aesthetic or memorable. I think this would look so much better inverted though, with a gold sun and red sky. The retro look is a bit confusing, I am wondering if that was deliberate or it just happened with the lines making the water and S. Unless they are trying to hark back to the early Bears days at Cararra, and I don't know why they would, then they have no business invoking the '80s.

Whilst blue doesn't appear in the logo, it is my understanding that blue has not been dropped and will appear in either the away or clash kit.

I think it's okay. Taking everything into account, it's a lot better than that bloody "GC" they had before, and I think it's also better than the Giants' big G, which really stands for nothing.

Over time, I think it'll be fine.

That’s good to hear. I reckon that’s the right idea given it would match up with the logo seemingly representing a sunset over water.

Looks like a production company logo you see at the end of an old show on TV, so damn familiar but can't recall any

I think the fan reaction has said it all. It's never a good thing when most people unanimously believe it is shit. They really should have leaked this earlier and gauge reaction before going ahead. An even more bland corporate logo to replace the previous bland corporate logo.

Really should've gone for something along the lines of these:

States there is too much hate, then delivers burn after burn.

In summary. It's shit, we all know it's shit. But it's Gold Coast so nobody cares that it's shit. We will all get to rinse an repeat when Norf give us a laugh next.

I actually quite like the logo, it's simple and manages to incorporate some symbology. Whilst not a masterpiece, if this had been released in 1992 there would be people yearning for retro kit with this logo.

A little disappointed that it appears blue has been retained and the red is not as dark as assumed. The move from highlighter yellow is welcomed. Hopefully it won't just be a plain kit with the logo in the middle.

I hope they have a full red kit and a full yellow kit. Scrap the white shorts. The league is lacking yellow shorts
White shorts should be scrapped altogether
