I don't mind the logo now -- What is jarring is the fact its red onto a red jumper. Thats gonna be difficult to recognise from high up or from TV.

Thing is, I feel as if my eyes need to adjust every time I look at the logo. The idea is cool, and the design isn't poorly executed, but I'm worried the jumper will be a turkey. Have been waiting for GC's rebrand for the best part of a decade. Fingers crossed we're pleasantly surprised.

Question. I'm new to big footy this year, has anyone ever actually liked a logo redesign when released in previous years? I don't mind the suns one.

I don't know how I feel about this, I was so excited about a rebrand and I don't actually hate this logo. I just redrew it for fun in about 2mins in Illustrator so its easy for kids to draw. But it really reminds me of any Japanese Electronics Brand from the 1970s or 80s. I hopt the Red on Red isnt' true

Suns stealing the SuperCoach logo is the biggest ripoff since the tigs stole the Tiger beer logo.

How the AFL decide to release the red on white version is the worse by far. Truly awful.

Okay, I’ve done a full 180, I really like it.

The circle looks so much more like a sun, with the word beneath it. Balances it out much more and makes the circle not look like it’s the dead centre of the logo.

I said it looked like a finance or software company, but now it looks like it’s from the 80s, but in a good way. The font is super 80s, and it suits Gold Coast well.. because the Gold Coast still looks like the 80s.
