He needs to go and play first class and work on his bowling. Being tall and having long fingers is not a point of difference for a finger spinner these days and does not make you a better bowler or give you X factor. Look at sulieman benn.

I’m not sure that’s how it works anymore…no depth in FC red ball games means some regimes/selectors are keen to identify talent and just stick them ie Bethell and Bashir.

Me too. Ward pleased to see but no Henry Hunt who has three tons and sits top of table. Or does CA now have him as next in line to open. Edwards (c) and a top order bat, get off the grass. Dislike too that top three bats are all lefties.

most bats seem to either bowl a bit or keep.

CAX1 taking on England Lions has the local side well in the frame for a victory today. Brissie looks fine, in fact it will be a scorching 37, may just fry the Pom attack.

To those who watched. How did Charlie Anderson bowl? He had pretty good figures.

He wasn't my main one to watch from the u19WC bowling attack (That'd be Vidler, then Beardman) but its good to see him play well. I don't think hes even played in the second XI yet, so he'll definitely be one to watch to see where he plays in in the next year.

Bowled well but not as accurate as he is capable. While Mahli is a tearaway, Callum swings at pace, I see Charlie more in the vein of Hazlewood, a specialist seamer.

For the next CAXI game starting on the 22nd, I hope they draft a few more BBL contracted guys in from teams whose season is over like Scorchers, Renegades etc and field a stronger more experienced team. Guys like McMillan, Hicks, Anderson's time might (or might not) come. They don't need to be playing this. Pick some guys on verge of national selection and needing of red ball cricket.

Averaged 37 at a S/R of 230 with 4 50s in 9 IPL matches 6 months ago, including 2 off 15 balls and another off 18 or something. He's better than won't average 20 but will whack a few sometimes.

He still has work to do, though. Needs to reign his slogging back in and play shots again and imo build into an innings more. He needs to stop being hyped so much and maybe have some more critical feedback imo but I think if given the right structure will be a great short form player.

These kids are the future of Aussie Test cricket. They and Beardman, Vidler, Dixon, Weigman, Davies, Jamieson, Singh, all guys that took down the Poms last year in the Junior Ashes. Konstas among them .

of course he'll go through purple patches but he won't have consistency over the long term, he isn't good enough.
