Fantastic attitude from the kid. Gives us something that most of our youngsters at the moment don't provide and see him playing 10ish games next year. Might sneak a debut this year too.
Such as?

I'll be disappointed if Graham isn't Ratten, Williams and Brown rolled into one.

He's a ball magnet with less obvious talent as Buckley/Menzel. Reminds me a bit of McLean but with potential to be more versatile.

I have it in my mind that he's the type to do the little things right to dish it off to our outside class players in Bucks/Lucas/Menzel when the time comes that they're in the same side.

Saw a few highlights from the game tonight, Graham looks like he hasn't missed a beat with the 8 weeks off on the sidelines. Cannot wait til he get a few games later on in the year :thumbsu:

Fantastic first game from Nick today. Has been out for an extended period of time but watching the game you simply could not tell that was the case.

Found plenty of the ball and used it well. He is clearly a smart footballer who knows what to do with the football and is good enough to execute it.

Most pleasing was that he pushed hard and had an impact all over the ground. Spent plenty of time through the midfield but pushed back to help the defensive unit as well as forward where he was able to impact the scoreboard.

Nick was super impressive throughout the preseason and he continued on in that fashion this afternoon. Injuries prevented him from featuring at senior level in the first half of the season but it would surprise me should he not force his way into the Carlton side at some stage over the coming months.

Hasn't Played a game since GWS nab game so yep first VFL game ever. I just laugh when I think we got him at pick 54. Looks like Shane Rogers' first draft was a winner. Exciting times.
next year we got luke williams too expect a steal.

Blues rookie Nick Graham starred in his return from a knee injury with 23 disposals on limited game time.
Webster said the former Gippsland Power midfielder was likely to make his AFL debut this season.
''It was good to see Nick back out there again with all the work that he's done in his rehab program … he used the ball really well and he was really clean around the stoppages,'' Webster said.

1st game for the year playing in the VFL against Frankston and was one of the best on the ground.

Not often you'd say this but you could tell that he was going to have a good game just through the warm-up.

Graham showed up what he had in the pre-season. He's one of our more reliable goal-kickers and he knows how to find the ball.
Graham also seems to understand when to get behind the ball and when to get in front of it and we could do with more players that understand exactly how to do this.

Little wonder that Webster commented that Graham will see senior action this year. Pretty easy call actually.

23 possessions and 2 goals on the weekend from 60% game time, that's hugely impressive. I think our midfield is crying out for another accumulator with a thinking footy brain. Seems like he'd probably already be in the 22 if he didn't get injured. Hope he debuts really soon.

Not sure that he would be in the best 22, but he certainly would have debuted. Was in line for a round 1 appearance prior to succumbing to injury.

It is surprising to read that he only played 60% of game time. He was absolutely everywhere so you could be forgiven for thinking he played significantly more than that, as I did. Makes the performance that much more impressive.

played the full game, maybe 70% with extended bench time but he played 4 qtrs.

Ah okay, I was quoting Luke Webster who said that he played 60% on the CFC website. Even if it's 70% per cent it's still a big haul coming straight off of a knee injury and a compromised fitness base.

I'd go with the 60% from the coach
