Pretty funny Nick "Champion" Stevens who was bagged as a fat, sheepdog has managed to instill a greater level of fitness and defensive play in Graham's game.
Stevens is obviously a 'do as I say' not 'do as I do' type of coach. His physical shape at the latter end of his career was a joke for a pro athlete. They couldn't get him off the pots and darts at the Lower Plenty Hotel.
and the Greensbrough KFC, I used to go out with a bird who worked there and said lance and stevo were regulars through the drive through
He loved the lower.

Ironic that he's roughly 10,000 times more successful than you'll ever be.Ironic that 'Lower Plenty' resembled his body shape.
Will never forget that goal he kicked up tight on the boundary line, on the run, and from memory a fair way out against the Lions in our first final in yonks. Was just a perfect, ripper kick and he was trying his (plentiful?) guts out for us, credit where credit is due. Great shame his neck forced him into retirement. One of the best kicks Carlton's ever seen. Up there with Braddles and Justin Murphy.
Lol... that's pretty good.Ironic that he's roughly 10,000 times more successful than you'll ever be.
Ah yes, hooley dooley Houlihan, gone but not forgotten. What? One of the best kicks Carlton's ever seen. Up there with Braddles and Justin Murphy.
Yes.Would still walk into today's team. Discuss.
Swag will turn into class in a few years time
Just before the neck injury, he was showing again, as he had at the higher points of his career, that he had the ability to win his own ball and use it effectively. If he could keep that up, absolutely, despite his lack of pace.Would still walk into today's team. Discuss.
was watching some wins against Geelong from a few years back and was shaking my head at how nice it would have been to have him a few more years.Would still walk into today's team. Discuss.

FEATURE ARTICLE: THE WOLFPACKThe Northe, Membrey and Graham families have been linked through football for years and the family friendships only grew stronger when the kids started to arrive on the scene. Matt, Tim and Nick’s fathers were all talented and well known footballers in the Gippsland region. As a result the boys grew up immersed in football, constantly around football clubs and constantly with a football in their hands. Since those very early days, playing football at the highest level possible has always been the goal for Matt, Tim and Nick, that hunger sparked after seeing their father’s success.
“Nick Graham has also worked extremely hard on his game, he’s a very well balanced player that always keeps his feet in the contest, his skills are exceptional and his ability to work through traffic is really good.”
Their focus and discipline was highlighted further when talking about their commitment to football while trying to fit in everything else in life. Nick explained “you know you have to make sacrifices while all your mates might be going out and partying back home. You can still be yourself through the week and catch up with mates and have a laugh and stuff, but you just don’t have to go out on the weekend.”

Murphy was a superb long kick that really broke the lines but at times not that accurate to be put in the top bracket. Bradley was an elite kick as was Stevens.
