Nick loves fluro clothing though...Agree it doesn't suit him though, I feel like having a leading teams meeting with he and Cachia and maybe most the side on dressing like normal humans.

Just because Rhys Uhlich gives you clothes you don't have to wear it.

Sometimes I think some of their jumpers/tops would look better on me :p

Best game of the year from Graham, for me.

He may have got more than his 32 possessions other weeks but his this week they really counted.
Some of his passes into leading forwards (yes, leading forwards) were sublime.
His use by hand was also terrific and just seemed to tackle harder than the past few weeks, also.

He'd have to be half a chance for a senior berth again.
Love what the club is doing with nick in the magoos. Learning his trade and working on his deficiencies before getting an extended run in the seniors.

Pretty sure it's worked well for Geelong, hawks and collingwood youngsters..

Funny isn't it about Graham.
The way some want to knock him down, could give one the impression that he was a top 10 selection.

What I like about him is that he rarely puts in a bad game.
When he does get promoted though, I hope we give him a run of games where he can start seeming into the team.
This will come about when he have a better squad in place along with not too many other kids playing at the same time.
Now that Menzel and Docherty have already established themselves as regulars, I think the time is right to give Graham a real run of things. Coming soon.

Has he re-signed or is his contract up at the end of season?

Good form in the VFL may tempt teams in the comp with weaker midfields (Doggies, WC, Melbourne).

Dogs and Melbourne would be two teams that actually don't need Graham.

Happy hanging onto the guy. We may be glad we did.

Nickey loves us. Can't see him going anywhere. Unless he is being strung along by the MC. Which I don't think is the case - I'm confident he has been told what to work on in the 2s and will be in when those are achieved. He was never coming in before Judd this week if there was only one change.

Every team needs a Nicky.
Dogs will have Boyd, Cooney on the decline. Pride themselves on contested footy and will need inside players.
Melbourne will have Cross retiring soon and will need an inside mid. Outsiders galore at that club, I'll take that.

Either way, very impatient for a string of games in the ones. Need to remind myself that he's only 19 and has lots of time.

Nick Graham ready to grab his chance with Blues

Having been mentioned by his club president as a potential key contributor of the future, emerging Carlton speedster Nick Graham says he is keen to prove his worth, and hopes to secure a new contract with the club.

Good and belated article on Graham but speedster? Speedster?

Murphy had the ball in his hands when the siren went in the '99 prelim. He will go down in history for the best after siren jig ever. Even Richmond didn't destroy J. Murphy.....

Murphy was a great player, one of my favs but he never realised his full potential. I remember him kicking a drop punt for a goal from inside the centre square at Waverley off a few steps, it sailed through post height! The guy could kick like a mule.

Back to Nick Graham I really liked what I saw last Friday, he just needs to find more of the ball but you gotta love what he does with it.

I'm really not understanding the use of the straining emoticon in this statement. :confused:o_O:)

LOL
I think it is more versatile than you may think. Could be someone's yearning (straining) to see more of someone... or that they give you the sh!ts.
Or that you'd love to say more, but feel it's best not to at this point. ;)
